** Poor Customer Service ** This place has a nice vibe to it for the area (canoeing, kayaking, hiking, etc.). The food is actually pretty good, especially the pizza.
However, the customer service is lacking. Myself and some friends ate there less than a month ago on a Friday night. They close at 8:00pm, which we were well aware of...we order our food and find a table outside in their dining area to await our food. Our food arrives and we are enjoying the conversation, the nice night, and our food when all of a sudden the lights go out. Service worker said, "we close at 8:00." RUDE!
* Didn't bother to ask us if we need a box (which a couple of us did).
* Didn't bother to say, "hey everyone we're shutting down in 10-minutes, even 5-minutes."
* Didn't bother to tell us when taking our order that they would shut down right at 8:00 (it was actually 7:50pm when they shut off the lights). But they took our money.
Like I said - good food; but need to be more aware of the customers, as well as informing them that when you shut down you shut down.

It's a really cool environment. You feel like you are right off the beach. And the key lime milkshake is to die for!

Drove 20 minutes one way, only to find out that they are closed on Wednesdays? Would be nice if they posted correct hours online. Probably not going back this year.
My friends and family visited for a late lunch after spending the morning tubing. This was certainly a nice treat within walking distance of Sugar Creek Rentals. The food was surprisingly good! This is an outdoor style restaurant. You'll order inside the convenience store and sit outside in a nice covered porch area. The staff did handle our large group very well. Only criticism, one of the older ladies running the restaurant was a bit grumpy.. must have caught her on a bad day.

Not a terrible place to eat, but your not likely to have anything worth mentioning to anyone here. However it might be the only place besides a couple gas stations, to get anything to eat. There are other places but your gonna have to drive 10 minutes or more.

This is the perfect place to visit after hiking at Turkey Run State Park. Eclectic, fun decor and traditional American food.

On July 6th at noon, I brought my family to this restaurant, which was almost the only option besides the buffet at the Turkey Run Inn. The variety of food and the decor created a nice atmosphere, giving me some expectations. However, everything went downhill after the food arrived.
Firstly, the waitress knocked over our pizza, then picked it up from our table and put it back on the paper plate. She said she would get us a new one, but we never received it before we left. The chicken sandwich was terrible, made directly from canned chicken. I can't believe I ate canned chicken in a restaurant! The pretzel looked like it had been soaked in oil for a long time; the whole surface was wrinkled and it was very greasy, so we barely touched it. The only edible item seemed to be the BLT quesadilla, but there was no bacon to be seen inside.
Shortly after eating a bit, I had diarrhea right in the restaurant. I could see almost undigested food accompanied by black liquid (possibly the coke I just drank). This really concerned me, and I have reported this restaurant to the health department.
Additionally, when we were leaving, the waitress called us back and asked us to clean our table. However, none of the other tables around us cleaned up before leaving; it was done by the staff, yet only we were asked to clean up. I felt discriminated against or unfairly treated.
Overall, this dining experience was terrible. The service and food quality were both disappointing. I will definitely not return and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Camped there on 6/21/2024, let's just say this campground has a lot of potential. The campsites on the north side of road are roomy and well shaded. But no restrooms on that side. They are being built. No signs for where the showers are. Had to ask multiple workers to find them.
