If you are thinking of visiting this restaurant on the last day of its Martinsville life, I would STRONGLY recommend that you change those plans and spend that big chunk of change elsewhere. Understanding that the restaurant is moving, still no excuses for the ABSOLUTELY sub-par experience. The list of "no haves" was hard to comprehend: No salmon, no ranch, no straws, no toilet paper or soap in one bathroom. They had lemons for the water (hooray), but the waiter had no time to cut them. It gets better/worse! The "famous" parmesan fries were served cold, lacking any parmesan, and with tartar sauce for dipping. Calamari seasoned with nothing, and also served with tartar sauce for dipping. An entire garlic clove in the Caesar dressing, that otherwise would ward away an entire world of vampires. Owner/chef(s): Just be honest with your patrons. It's a going out of business sale. Don't try and pass off your menus with leftovers. Show your faces instead of throwing your wait staff under the bus. And don't have the audacity to charge full price! Gave one star only because no stars was not an option.

I attended the holiday brunch they hosted. We made reservations and upon arriving we were seated after a few minutes. While the restaurant was busy it calmed down by the time 30 minutes had passed from the time we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. After an hour of waiting for our food it finally came out. Only to be missing part of our meal which our waitress told us she would go get. However, we never received it and she never came back to check on us just to get our plates from the table. We had to ask the hostess for a coke we waited 25 minutes for. Overall, I'm very disappointed in the service. I gave two stars simply because of how nice the hostess was in trying to pick up the slack.

Stopped in recently for breakfast with 3 family members. The food - everything was fantastic, with one small exception. The eggs bennie was perfect, the omelet, the ham, and the gravy - the pancakes - all just superb. And what was the exception? The hard, cold, dry, saw-dusty biscuits! Yuk - they were terrible - like out of a box on a shelf. BUT, the service was the best - and the coffee outstanding - beautiful place, trendy and fun vibe. But man, those biscuits gotta go. We'll be back, I promise.

Too expensive.....chicken salad tasteless ...not much in it....tomato bisque didn't have a bit of sweetness to it like I usually eat ...cracker stale....drank 1 diet coke...wanted a refill...out of diet coke

We stopped in on the way to MI at 230 pm. It wasn’t busy and they served us quickly. We had burger and fish and chips. It was delicious , hot, seasoned well. Parking was no problem. Customer service was good.

Great evening @ 21North. Our first experience. They treated us like royalty as we celebrated 2 birthdays, and the food was wonderfully prepared, taking advantage of all the fresh bounty available.Dietary restrictions: Chef was sensitive to one of the guestswho had dietary restrictions.
We found 21 North Eatery on Yelp when we came in town for a high school football game. We love to find hidden gems that are locally owned! This is definitely that!! Starting with the drinks, starter and entrees, everything was definitely 5 stars! Our bartender was attentive and great at suggesting drinks. We had the Smoked Bulleit and it was the perfect blend of smoky with the taste of the bourbon. Our Chicken Potstickers were perfectly cooked and the flavor was spot on. The broccoli cheese soup was above par! There was no extra seasoning needed at all. The Hunny chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked and the hot honey was the perfect mix and sweet and spicy. The fish & chips were perfectly cooked with enough crisp on the batter and the fish was perfect. The truffle parm fries cannot be forgotten! I read a review on here that said it was expensive. The prices are very reasonable and definitely worth it for the quality that you get! We will be back and can't wait to book a private dinner at the Chef's Table! If you are in or close to Martinsville...this is a MUST!!

Our food was fabulous(potstickers, chicken salad, and wagyu burger were spot on) but the experience was detracted from by our poor service. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and irritated when the restaurant wasn't even half full and was shared by another waitress who seemed delightful. Ours ignored us for the first 15 minutes and then was put off that we wanted an appetizer first instead of ordering our food and drinks all at once. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but then we watched her yell at the bartender in the middle of the dining area and then another one of her tables walked out after waiting 20min without even seeing her. We thoroughly enjoyed the food but seeing as this is the second time we've had poor service, we most likely won't be back unless we just order to go... hopeful to here in the future they turn it around.
