This place is UNBELIEVABLY GOOD! Charming building with Frank Sinatra soundtracks add to the class. The potato and sausage soup was out of this world. Big fan of the lobster ravioli. The unexpected star of the show: lasagna! Best I’ve ever had. We can all the way from downtown Indy to try it and will definitely be back again!
We made reservations at Awnie's for a 6:00 weeknight dinner. There was no wait at that time in any case. We started with the caesar salad and bread. Both were great. We had the lasagna and the lobster ravioli. All the pasta was cooked to the point of being just perfectly soft enough. Both dishes tasted fantastic. The wait staff was friendly and competent. The owner was active in the dining room and stopped by to make sure our experience was great. Highly recommended!
I highly recommend starting with bread and dipping oil! The bread is crusty with a warm soft center, perfect for dipping. The zuppa toscano is out of this world and the pasta is fabulous. The wait staff, particularly Mary, makes you feel welcomed and they are very attentive. You walk in as a stranger and walk out as a friend!
