Avoid this place if you are searching for a reliable, open establishment.
This is my 5th time trying to visit Brix with a gift card I ordered 2 years ago. I call beforehand, look online at their website, check their socials, and still they randomly are never open. I'm starting to wonder if it is a scam, and hope to get a refund on the giftcard I ordered for my dad and I.
I understand things happen with being a family run operation, but frankly it comes off as unorganized & unprofessional. Other vendors and small business owners could be using this space in Michigan City, and it is rather a waste when others could be supporting the community on a more frequent, dependable basis.
Please offer more transparency on this lack of consistency & remove the listed "business hours" entirely from both your website and Google maps when they are fairly often not honored. Wanted to support local and regret it due to the flexibility in their standard operating hours.
For the goodness of your brand, and just state your hours are "open when we feel like it".

We based on trip on visiting this new tasting room. Based on the reviews we were nervous about them being opened. We were disappointed that they weren’t open when we got there

A fun place for tasting new wines. There is a wide range of wines to taste. We were offered dry whites, a rose and a few dry reds. We selected a Cabernet to share. The service was friendly. The kitchen is currently only open from Thursday to Sunday. A food truck with excellent Mediterranean food is on site for other days. Communication about that could be improved. Try the outside patio!
Parking: Street parking is available right outside.

You never know when the owners feel like opening, so don't count on their posted operating hours.
Those who might be traveling from long distances to vist Brix, think twice and have an alternate destination.

This was a delightful find. We happened into the area and the owners were a delight. The wines were just perfect to our taste and Tyler was great with this recommendations based on our likes. We had the shrimp pizza which was different but very good. The salad was also tasty. We loved the atmosphere and the local feel to the place. highly recommend this as a great spot to stop for dinner and or drinks.
Dietary restrictions: They are willing to work with you and certainly have options for all.

I was so hopeful to visit Brix with my friends on an upcoming trip to Michigan City. Unfortunately they don’t answer their phone, respond to voicemails or emails. We chose to go elsewhere as Brix seems to be very poor at communication.

Our friends reserved the Room for a birthday party and we had a wonderful evening celebrating.
Perfect spot to sample a great selection of wines! The owner was so helpful with choosing from many wines offered. Great place for a girls nite out, meeting friends, or making new friends!
