Excellent root beer

Carlson’s Drive In, Michigan City Indiana (I came specifically to order the Italian Beef and the pork tenderloin sandwich)
The beef was decent, but they don’t have the ability to offer it dipped. They don’t have true spicy peppers, but rather a pepper that they threw on top of the sandwich. OK in a pinch if you’re looking for general flavoring Italian Beef, but that particular dish is just not their thing.

The pork tenderloin sandwich looks pretty good and it was pretty tasty for a fritter. Decently moist and crisp, with a restaurant atmosphere that contributes to the dining experience.

Good food great place.been going there for years, always get a gallon of root beer good and fast service.And I love there Christmas trees they sell in the winter so pretty..they are hard working owners.that bring so much joy to the city thank you Carlson's ,and grate food.Keep up the good work .

Carlsons is the same as when I was a teenager. We loved it! They even gave my little kids tiny root beers. ❤️

Great place for a bite...

It is absolutely MIND BLOWING that this establishment denied a blind person's service dog. The woman was BLIND and had her seeing eye dog. The staff members Disgusting behavior has ensured that we will NEVER come here after seeing their discrimination against the disabled.

Very nice people, service and good diner food

Hot dog was not hot…bun was cold…French fries not fresh or hot…will not be going back…way too expensive for food that was served… noticed that they blacked out all the prices on their menu on the outside of their building…. there is a discrepancy on what I paid and I will be contacting them…

Great local drive in that all ages enjoy. Food is good and hot and the root beer is homemade and delicious.

The "manager " I spoke to about my order was very impatient, rude, and spoke over me. I had never hung up on anyone, she's my first! The corn dog for my daughter was so burnt it was almost black when she took it out of the paper. She would not let me explain that to her.

I used to love this place but something has changed. The hot dogs were mushy and had a green tint to them, root beer was terrible, and over priced. Service was good as always with the girls. But something has to change or this place won’t last.
