Carlson's Drive In

Hot dog was not hot…bun was cold…French fries not fresh or hot…will not be going back…way too expensive for food that was served… noticed that they blacked out all the prices on their menu on the outside of their building…. there is a discrepancy on what I paid and I will be contacting them…

A little pricy, but yummy food and a great atmosphere!

Great local drive in that all ages enjoy. Food is good and hot and the root beer is homemade and delicious.

The "manager " I spoke to about my order was very impatient, rude, and spoke over me. I had never hung up on anyone, she's my first! The corn dog for my daughter was so burnt it was almost black when she took it out of the paper. She would not let me explain that to her.

I used to love this place but something has changed. The hot dogs were mushy and had a green tint to them, root beer was terrible, and over priced. Service was good as always with the girls. But something has to change or this place won’t last.

We visited Carlson's and it was great. We fed four adults and 1 child for $43. The root beer was refreshing, the tenderloins were hot and crispy, the BBQ pork was flavorful, and the Chicago Dogs were good but slightly bland. Service was great and the food came quickly. Definitely recommend

Not cheap, but worth every penny! I have to partake every time I visit Michigan City in the summertime! It's an awesome Drive-in restaurant where you can eat in your car, or sit with your group at the picnic tables. They have a huge menu, but I always get the same thing...I know! But I can't help it! -hot dogs with raw onion and mustard, onion rings, and a large root beer... They make their own root beer! You need to check them out! - D. L. Wright

Had an amazing lunch date with my girlfriend at Carlson's, and the staff was so helpful and patient!
For me, the ROOT BEER was the highlight and Marlo's favorite part was the fried zucchini! ? There are so many tasty options here and friendly conversations waiting to happen, so plan a time to visit Carlson's!
