Chipotle has went down hill the last couple years. It used to be our favorite fast food restaurant when it was fresh food and had a clean restaurant. Chipotle chips were stale the queso tasted like overcooked mashed potatoes. The restaurant was stinky and very dirty. Not only were the tables gross but the windows and floor looked like it hasn’t been touched in a while. We were out of town and we are done trying to give chipotle another chance to do better.

Mobile order. Rice was really mushy, ordered light lettuce and they packed it full of lettuce. It was basically a gross lettuce and rice burrito. Cashier was rude. The only negative experience i've ever had at a chipotle. Will not come back to this one.

When I walked in 35 minutes before close, you would’ve thought it was TWO the way the workers looked at one another, turned away, and begrudgingly AND hesitantly approached the counter to tell us they were out of rice. As if that didn’t seal the deal for my family, when I asked my sister what she wanted to do, another worker jumped at the opportunity to let us know they were out of PLENTY more ingredients - God forbid we chose to stay through the rice shortage. Won’t be stopping here again.

Used to be my go to but something changed about 4 months ago. The flavor changed.
Let me start by saying I very rarely post negative reviews at all ever, however this place is so incredibly toxic and awful I feel ogligated to share my experience, which i can see hundreds of others have posted the same review of this store. If i could give the people that work there a negative number, i totally would! Their staff at the counter are so rude its almost as if they are purposely trying to get people to not come back.
I decided to give them one last try after months of not eating there due to how disturbingly rude and dirty they were on previous visits, and i order a chicken bowl with rice, and the girl working the bowls literally didnt give me chicken..She had the metal container of rice on the counter in front of my bowl, so i couldnt notice that there was no chicken in the bowl.. I called after realizing what happened after getting back to work, no apology from manager, didnt care at all, and was just as rude as the worker was. Told me to drive back immediately and they would remake it. I was on my lunch break at that time, and cant just leave work and "drive back".
I would STRONGLY encourage anyone NOT to bother with this specific location in Michigan City, from Management down they are rude and incredibly unprofessional. You will find better service at the local Mcdonalds!

They were out of toilet paper in the large women's restroom. The food was good. We ordered the BBQ brisket burrito and the barbacoa burrito.

We came a little before 2 on Sunday afternoon. The dining room was dirty. We ate at a table we wiped down ourselves. No one cleaned while we were there.

What a DUMP! Food was actually good but the store is a total mess. Tables filthy garbage full. Employees act like they need to call the suicide prevention hotline. They do have some kind of special drinks I enjoy. In the end the place is a buzz killl 👎🏻

My order was completely wrong and old/stale. The soft tortillas are hard as rocks. My kids meal was supposed to be steak, beans and rice with chips and juice. I received no chips or juice, and instead of steak/beans it was Chicken and fajita veggies. Very unhappy. My tacos also had cheese on them when they weren’t supposed to. Which I could look past but the person who ordered it has a dairy allergy so $20 wasted.

We stopped in tonight for dinner. I'm not sure why, but it was freezing in there. It felt like it was 30 degrees. Another couple decided it was so cold they ate in their car... Also, food was just ok... for some reason the chicken was shredded and dry, maybe overcooked. I'm not sure if this is how it is prepared at all locations now, or just this one. With fast food being so expensive now, I really don't feel like I will be returning anytime soon.

HELLO CHIPOTLE MICHIGAN CITY MANAGERS/OWNERS!!! ARE YOU READING THESE REVIEWS?? Your employees are way out of line and can’t greet nor serve customers, the restaurant is covered in FILTH, people are getting sick from lack of food being properly prepared!!! We went last night and this is STILL CONTINUING?? What is corporate’s number bc no one around here cares enough to manage this place , it’s being ran by disrespectful teenagers who have no hygiene. Gross af, this place needs a revamp ASAP before the Health Dept shuts it down 🤮

The adult employees don’t care at all, wont even greet you. They just talk to each other, text or have even taken phone calls and just walked away from their station. The high schoolers who work there are the only ones who actually try.
If you’re there after 5pm there’s a very good chance one or more items will be out. It’s almost always the fajita vegetables but sometimes it’s also beans or they undercooked their rice somehow and it’s crunchy.
Trash cans are always overflowing in the late afternoon. They must only take the garbage out at the end of the night.

I'm very disappointed in Chipotle. I placed an order for a group of nurses working night shift, including myself. The store was to close at 2200. I had finished and sent my order in at 2140. We had someone go to pick up the order and were there by 2145. They were told that the order couldn't be completed due to not having some ingredients and closing at 2200. We were told that I would not be charged or I would get a refund for my $75 order. No worries. The order was placed on 11/22. The order was still pending on Thanksgiving. Checking my account last night I see that I was in fact charged for the food that we never received. I called today to have this fixed and it seems impossible to speak with a human over the phone. I went through the chat Pepper and the representative said I can't be refunded. I asked for a manager and was sent back to the chat. Tried calling again, no luck. Back to chat and was with another representative who asked a few questions then just sent me back to the chat again once I gave her the store info as requested. In the end no one is wanting to help me. I'm out $75 for food I did not receive, and I just want my money back as I was told I would get!
