My wife and I visit Michigan City a half dozen times each year. We stay at the Blue Chip Hotel Casino. Most of our dining is done on property, but we usually stop for a meal in the area on each trip. Today we found Dune Billies when we searched breakfast near me. We were very fortunate to find this place. We went there on a Friday, and it was very busy but there was a table open. I ordered the Captain's breakfast My wife ordered the French toast with walnuts and bourbon glazed...

We heard about this place while traveling in the Michiana area, and we are so thankful someone recommended it to us. The food was fresh and super delicious, the atmosphere was fun, colorful, filled with local art and very cozy and the staff was welcoming and efficient. Definitely try the quiche and the Mt Baldy French toast, excellent baked goods as well. We will definitely be back next time we’re passing through:)

Went at about 1130 on a Sunday at the beginning of October, with 6 people. Only waited about 15 minutes. Sat outside at a picnic table with an umbrella. Downfall, the Suns was a blazing.
It was still so worth it!! The coffee was so good & I am so picky about my coffee. They offered us a blueberry muffin to try. Michael, our server, said he made it. I could have eaten the entire muffin myself, so fresh!
The table had a turkey BLT, the sausage quiche, the captains...
