After visiting the historic Barker Mansion in Michigan City, Indiana, I sought out Fiddleheads restaurant, which arguably offers the best lunch in town. Located at 422 Franklin Street, it is open from 11 to 8 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, 11 to 2 on Wednesday and 11 to 9 on Friday and Saturday. I started with six fried shrimp with bangin' sauce, slaw, mixed greens and green onions. Then I consumed a two-fisted grass fed burger with Romaine lettuce, tomato, cheddar...
Pleasant place. Good wait staff. Shrimp tacos were pretty good. Shrimp are extra large and although the menu says they are fried, they seemed closer to broiled, nicely done and not greasy and only slightly breaded. Pleasantly surprised about that. Hamburger reported to be fine. Sweet potato tots were good.
This is such a neat, innovative place! Brussel sprouts were AMAZING with candied crispy bacon bits and drizzle in a make sauce! 🤤 We also loved their fish tacos and mini burgers.
