We visited ihop hoping for a meal. Yes we were greeted seated and orders taken promptly. But. We waited over 30 minutes for a our food. We watched at 2 tables served before us whom came 10 plus minutes after us.

Was on a trip with my friends last night and drove through Michigan city. We wanted to eat at Chili's across the street but it was extremely busy so we chose this IHOP. Unfortunately that was a bad choice. Including us there was maybe four other parties in the restaurant at the time. Waitress came and took our order and food was extremely fast at first. The food was mediocre at best. After we finish eating we sat there for a good 40 minutes almost before she brought us our check. That was after she walked past us sitting there three or four times. My friend had ordered a salad and on the menu said came with a side so she got French fries. Upon receiving our checks 10 million years later they charged her for her fries which were a side with her salad as stated on the menu. When we went up to pay they told her that the menu was a typo and that she was having to be charged for her fries that was after they went and got the manager. I'm sorry but those menus were relatively old and you can tell. Just seemed like they were trying to get as much money out of their customers as possible since it seems like it was family run and not in great shape. will never ever stop at this location again and probably not another IHOP after this. Do better Michigan City IHOP. You might have faster and better service if you didn't hire friends and family as your employees

My wife and I stopped in at this location last night. The server was a very polite lady. I ordered the big country breakfast. I've been to numerous IHOPs all over the place I never had any issues with the food. The food was great. The only issue is that there was so much of it. My wife ordered a country fried steak. That thing was the size of a frisbee. With what we ordered we could have fed three families. If you're hungry I suggest you go here you will definitely be happy

Horrible food, flies dead on the window table dirty. Coffe was super dark, we wait for 45 mins and there was only 3 tables. Never go back to that place.. i paid for food we didn't eat bcse french toast taste like garlic and onions.

Please do something about your door chime. It made for an awful dining experience. It's not good for people sensitive to high pitched tones, including ny autistic lunch guest. You can hear it throughout the whole restaurant. There is no way to escape it. I recognize the need for it. However, can you find a product with a less obnoxious tone?

This has to be the worst dining experience I've ever had. The service was horrible! We waited an hour for our food. That's after 4 other couples were served that arrived after we did! The one couple had to return the pancakes because of a hair in them. Dead bugs on window sill. Place should be shut down on lack of cleanliness alone! We will never return to this restaurant.
I have a photo that actually explains why this place has messed up cooks and cleaning employees. At 448 pm on Sat two Hispanic men pulled out modelo.beers out of his light blue cooler out of his blue Ford escape and handed it to his fellow employee. Drinking on the job is a very bad look especially for.a restaurant that doesn't serve alcohol. Unfortunately you can never speak.to.anyone on the complaints unless it's the manager and he's doesn't do squat !! Save you're money and go somewhere else !

Service was fine, however I wish I could say the same for the food. I had the biscuit and gravy combo. The gravy was terrible! No flavor and they gave me the nasty skim off the top of the gravy. Once I pulled the gravy skin clumps off the biscuit, there was about a table spoon of gravy. They hash browns was not done in the middle and the outside was a second from burnt. The egg and water was ok.
