Firstly, the food is great, even though the orders are sometimes inaccurate. Doesn't matter if I get the wrong food really, cause whatever is in my bag is still tasty. However, the most recent visit will likely be the last to ANY Steak and Shake. As soon as you open the door you hear from the cook (who was wearing a red polo, so I'm assuming a shift leader) "I'd like to know who unlocked that damn door." Well, the store is open, it's 1pm, why would you NOT have the door unlocked? Just don't want business? Then as I'm waiting for my order to get complete (which always takes longer than it should) a customer comes up and (rudely) asks to have her sandwich put in the microwave, which is in no way something a worker should do. No food is to return to the kitchen area, that is a major health board violation. They should've just offered to remake her food. At any rate, they did microwave it, for way too long, then the cook again begins cussing and arguing. The customer said to throw it away, but she didn't leave. Just stayed and continued cussing. The entire store felt uncomfortable. The workers clearly don't want to be there, the customers all seemed like they were about to erupt in a gang war. It was not a safe feeling. And the workers seemed to want to instigate further. The worker's poor attitude is not isolated to this location. Every S&S I've been to is this way. This was exceptional though. And it makes me never want to go again. Which is sad, because I have always loved the food. S&S are all so mismanaged and the business model is beyond terrible. There are basically no interactions between crew and customers, unless there's a problem, and then it is always an argument. This store is the worst of the litter and needs to be closed, considering the franchise owner and crew clearly could care less about being there. Update: this location is now closed. Signs are down and looks like the store is being dismantled. Steak n shake locations are closing everywhere, and, no surprise, this location has finally closed.

Well, the food was fair but you have to order from a computer kiosk, and that is cumbersome, you really didn't know what you were ordering , they look like they were not totally ready for people to dine in, there was no ice in the drink dispenser, they only had one area that had napkins that you had to get yourself, the restroom had only one of the two sink faucets working and the had dryer did not work, they put a pile of napkins on the sink for you to you to dry your hands, but I will give the guys that were running the place credit, they are trying to make a go of it in this tough economy, hats off to you for trying

Underwhelmed. Garlic burger was good, fries were too salty, and both my mom and I thought our shakes tasted like the Styrofoam cups they were served in.
Order from a kiosk. Ordered two meal deals. And two shakes. Pick the meals up at the counter. The buns were hard and cold. Fries were hot!! As for the shakes I went up asking about them. Given a rude reply say yes they are coming. Finished our meals and ready to go but no shakes yet. Went back up...rudely told she had to get the food out first. How about working on an order getting that out. Had to wait a little longer and finally the shakes showed up. My husband's was fine but my Mint Oreo shake was plain vanilla, such a disappointing stop. May never return to Steak n Shake after this experience.

We ordered the milkshakes, and they were good and thick. He forbrhe oreo cookies amd I got the chocolate peanut butter cup. Yum yum... we went thru the drive thru, so by the time she finished processing our payment, our shakes were done. So, no waiting.

The new service model is abysmal. No cashier, no cash, kiosk order only. No staff to clean tables it would seem. My burger was served with a stale bun. Seating worn out and deteriorated. Please just go out of business.
