I’m not usually one to complain, I understand no restaurant is perfect but I am sooo disappointed after our visit. I’ve been coming to up-n-smoke for years and I have absolutely loved it everytime. But my boyfriend and I came in tonight for our biweekly date night. We came in shortly before 5 p.m. and it was not busy. We waited about 10 minutes before someone acknowledged us, after a few minutes one girl came up to us and took our drink order and told us the other girl would come give us menus. Again a few minutes later the other girl finally comes up and takes our drink order again and gives us menus. It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks and we ordered. After about 25 minutes of waiting for chicken tips and a pulled pork sandwich the waitress comes up and tells us that they’re out of pulled pork and offered an appetizer and a discount and asked if we wanted something else. We chose the brisket sandwich. It took about 10-15 minutes to get the appetizer and then another 15-20 minutes to get our food. The chicken tips were cold and the brisket sandwich contained mostly fatty pieces. I asked for boxes and the bill. At this point the restaurant was basically empty. It took quite a bit of time for us to get boxes and the bill. The bill did not contain the “discount” the waitress offered. At that point I was so irritated that I just paid and left. I will not be back unfortunately. The meals that we had were not worth the wait nor the $40 I spent.

Terrible! Waited over an hour and a half for food to come. Once the food came out it was cold. When they started the buffet I thought I would try them one more time. I wanted to carry out, they charged $15.99 per POUND!!! The staff seems frustrated all of the time and the owner (I am assuming) is very rude. She caters to people she knows and has a disgusting display of professionalism. I don’t know how this restaurant has lasted.

Ok so I ordered this online and had it delivered so not sure how it is in the inside. The perch dinners we ordered with the tri tip was really good and would most definitely order from here again. Looking at maybe going to the actual restaurant maybe this week and if we do I will update this review.

I had jerk chicken and rib tips. The jerk chicken was cooked just the way I like it ???? the ribs was good just a little to faty for my liking I had Mac and cheese it was good and red beans and rice was OK but overall I'm most definitely going back oh I had a pound cake mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm good ?????

Best bbq around. We drive an hour just to come here and enjoy their food. Owner is an absolute sweetheart and you can tell she puts her heart and soul into all her food. Service is top notch. Can’t go wrong with any of the meats. Tips are great, wings delicious, best catfish around. All her sides are awesome, love the greens ❤️ and her pound cake is so good it should be a crime.

I came here with my 3 kids today for lunch, the owner had a beautiful spirit and was so much helped. The waitress made sure everything was good. The food is made fresh and prices was even better I didn’t even spend $20 for 4 people. I will be back again! I pray God continue to bless you and may your business flourish.
