The food here was SO good!! We got the mushroom ravioli, pesto gnocchi, and italian beef sandwich. Everything we had was the best we’ve ever had and not over priced at all. The waitress was sweet and everything came out quick. We will definitely come back
beautiful, cozy space with delicious food (especially the alarmingly generous chocolate cake servings) and a great, accommodating staff!! shoutout to shaq for making a memorable night even more so!

We completely enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious inside and outside atmosphere was one of kind in Michigsn City. Once we got our bill it was half the price of Farina's & Roccos's down the road. We will absolutely be back and this will be a new staple for us in MC.

Very welcoming, delicious food, made a New York Sour cocktail I requested and it was perfect! So nice, will make this a regular haunt. Highly recommended. A definite jewel to the community. Great for a date night! 😉

The last order was Lemon Ricotta pasta with a ‘side’ of Brussel Sprouts. I say ‘side’ because it’s truly a meal in its own. I have to say I appreciate their a la carte menu which enables me to order exactly what I want! I don’t enjoy ending up with fries or chips that I didn’t order, so their menu is perfect! I always order through GrubHub and it stated clearly that I could add on chicken to my pasta and I am so glad I did! I have never had better chicken EVER! It was so tender and seasoned just enough to have great flavor but not so much as to overpower the pasta!! The pasta was amazing with just the right amount of lemon! The Brussel Sprouts…always order the Brussel Sprouts!! They are like a dessert! I’m not sure what is in them but I will always order them with everything when I get Vita! They are insanely good!! Though I must say that Vita has a way of making vegetables delicious, their rainbow carrots are also super yummy!! I also appreciated the time I had an issue with my card and panicked thinking they were going to make my food and I couldn’t get GrubHub to take my card, I called and spoke to the owner who patiently sorted it out for me! I see that they respond passionately to reviews here and, having worked many years in the service industry, I understand the level of hard work and sacrifice that goes into creating and running a local business, so I understand the passion in the responses. They get a 12 out of 10 from me every single time I order!! What a great local gem!

my sandwich took over 30 minutes... we were a table of 10 and i waited 30 minutes after everyone started getting their food to get mine .... how long does a simple sandwich and chips get? by that time i didn't even want it. mid sandwich - would've rather gotten a mcchicken. waitress was pretty clueless and rarely gave me updates on my food. another waitress had come around to tell me my food was coming?? slow kitchen for a sandwich i could've made better at home, by myself, in 10 minutes. also loved waiting so long to eat one bite before being served the check. at least she said she would package it for me.
save yourself and head to a fast food place next door because they'll have better service spitting in your food than this one. (if you want to order their $30 calamari ... save it. it's worth about half of that)
a day later ... I open my takeout box (because after waiting so long, I really wasn't hungry anymore) I was so thrilled to see my $25 meal had only HALF my sandwich. The waiter packaged up HALF of my meal. Did she eat the other half? I will never know. disappointed in the service at the place, and even at home.
There is upselling and there is whatever this place does. Substitutions are listed in tiny print at the bottom of the menu and service staff aren't clear about additional charges when taking orders. Not to mention some orders came well over 30 mins late and the order wasn't even complete. The restaurant looks nice but unfortunately the food and service dont match its appearance and its pretty clear the owner doesn't take criticism well considering their replies to other reviews

Not a single criticism was welcomed in previous reply and summing up the review as vindictive rant instead of addressing a single thing mentioned in the review. It’s pretty pathetic when the so called “kids” display more maturity than the restaurant owners. Who likes criticism? People who care about improving their patrons experience rather than egomaniacs willing to sacrifice their dignity to try and prove a point. To anyone still considering this restaurant, I urge you to take your business elsewhere. The owners say they “own up to their mistake” but not a single time have they addressed food being brought out late along with terrible service that has been mentioned multiple times across multiple reviews? Is it more believable to see this as a smear attempt or pattern of shoddy service.

I’m looking for a birthday restaurants and completely forgot about this place, we ended up going here for Valentine’s Day well luckily we didn’t have plans after cause our reservation was at 7:30-7:40 and we didn’t get our food till about 9-9:30. The couple next to us even left with how bad it was as they never got a drink order in or bread and stayed there for about 15 min. Our server was the only reason we stayed as he comped some of our meal and gave us free dessert. The other couple next to us were also very nice and we did some shots that’s how bad it was bahaha even they knew too! Atmosphere was awful u could tell the staff was stressed. We felt very bad for them! Food was eh obvi would never come back. Was very disappointed as I heard good things but clearly Valentine’s Day they did not know what they were doing. Also with how the owner responds in other reviews she will snap back to this:) this is honest review take it in consideration ma’am

I was looking for somewhere nice to take my 88 year old Mom for dinner. After reading the owner’s reply to some of the not so positive reviews, I will go somewhere else. To say “go down the street it’s a better fit for you” says A LOT about the way you feel about customers that don’t have a good experience at your restaurant. Good luck!
