We planned a surprise 8oth birthday and we were lucky enough to get Jen and Phil to cater our event. The food was delicious! Jen had so many great food ideas, that I said yes to everything! Their cupcakes were delicious and perfectly frosted. They are so nice, kind and professional. All the food was perfectly presented. They delivered, set up and cleaned up. They provided all the food and all the drinks. If you have heard of The House and eaten there, then you know that they are good. If not, you need to visit this restaurant.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at The House compels me to speak up. If negative stars were an option, this establishment would have earned one. As a Christian man and Minister, I was thrilled to learn about The House and its weekly Bible Study. Sadly, my excitement turned to deep disappointment.

On my first visit, the doors were locked despite the “Open” sign being displayed. Wanting to be understanding, I decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, my second visit was even more disheartening. While I was there with my 4-year-old daughter, I witnessed a man, presumably a manager or owner, berating an employee. This wasn’t a brief exchange—it went on and on. Though I initially tried to stay out of it, the situation became unbearable. I asked for the bill for our drinks and promptly left.

No one—especially in a place claiming to represent Christ—should be spoken to in that manner IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS , let alone a 4 YEAR OLD CHILD. Matthew 18:15 teaches us: “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him ALONE. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.” Whatever issue may have arisen, it should have been handled PRIVATELY, not PUBLICLY, and certainly not in a way that left my daughter asking, hours later, why “that man was yelling at that lady.”

My wife and I are intentional about the language and tone we use around our children, and I cannot condone anyone, much less a stranger, behaving this way in a public setting. It was not only unprofessional but also contrary to the example Christ calls us to set as His hands and feet.

I am deeply saddened by this experience and will not return. However, I will pray for everyone involved. I urge this establishment to reflect on the impact of their actions, as even a 4-year-old has been affected by them today. Let this be a reminder that our words and behavior, especially in public, should reflect the love, grace, and humility of Jesus.

DO BETTER!

My wife and I are really skeptical at trying new places, I had a friend tell me about this place, and we were not disappointed. Very down to earth, and humble people. The food was Awsome, definitely was worth it. Thank you guys very much for your kindness and professionalism we will be spreading the word and we will be back. God bless you from the jones family

We stopped here on a road trip from California to back home in Ohio. We had a wonderful delicious breakfast! The food was the best we had for the whole trip. The owner was fantastic! She really made us feel welcomed and the other patrons did as well. We left with our bellies full of great food and feeling like we had made some new friends! We highly recommend this place! You’re missing out of a great place to eat if you don’t stop in at The House!

Wonderful individually prepared home cooked meals. You can't get a better breakfast. They cook your eggs just the way you ask them to the pancakes have a good flavor and texture. The place is definitely not fancy, and the furniture is mismatched, but it's a clean and comfortable place to eat or hang out. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Glad we tried it.

Home meals!! I grab the FULL BREAKFAST there. This was my 2nd time, and again I was not disappointed. From the wonderful greeting you get when you come in to the the last bite of my breakfast!! I googled BREAKFAST NEAR ME, because I just moved into the neighborhood… I chose THE HOUSE, because it’s a locally owned place, not fast food, and it’s cooked from the time you order (not pre-cooked). Yes, Dennys and iHOP I think does the same, but doesn’t taste the same. WHY? Because my order doesn’t sit under a heating lamp waiting to be served. The atmosphere feels like family.. the people are so wonderful. Thank you to THE HOUSE for making me feel comfortable the moment I walked in ❤️I’d take a pic of my breakfast, but I was so hungry! LolNext time!!

The burgers are great. Have them grill your onions. Also, the fried potatoes are top-notch.

I'm all for giving my money to local business other than huge franchise but kinda hard to do if local never wants to be open.
