I don't know if this place has gone downhill or what. I have always heard how good it is and finally went. The building has fallen into major disrepair. (Large holes in walls covered poorly by signs.) The food wasn't bad for the mist part but it wasn't great either. The rice was absolute mush. The one fantastic thing was the sauce on the bread pudding. I would buy buckets of that sauce. But nothing else there was worth returning for.

One of my favorite places to eat. We make the trek out from Indianapolis a few times a year to get the food here. Delicious from start to finish, including the drinks! Highly recommend the garlic soup, the gator, and the jambalaya. Oysters in season is always a nice treat as well! Atmosphere is great, staff is always super friendly and helpful. The whole experience merits 5 stars across the board.

Such an amazing experience at Zydeco's! The husband and I had been meaning to go for quite some time and were upset we hadn't been before now. Now that it's up for sale of course! That really saddens us because it was the best gumbo we've had in Indiana and in the places we tried it on our last trip to NOLA. The garlic soup was fire! Our waitress was so personable and knowledgeable of the menu. I really hope someone buys it and keeps the restaurant as is. The waitress said the owner would even sell her recipes! I wish so much that I could buy it but I know nothing about restaurant management and don't have the capital.
Super friendly staff, Deb was super awesome, got some root beer and the guy fieri bbq shrimp and tried gator for the first time on my 5 day road trip with the adventure bros. I was not expecting our very last destination on our trip to be our best. We made it just in time! We found out after we left they wanted our photo taken as well which is just the cherry on top of being treated so well. I have never tipped more than 20% before this but I just had to. Amazing end to our trip! Thank you ?

Had dinner there on 6/19/24 on a visit to Mooresville. Learned they serve crawfish etouffee so had to go have it. Loved the etouffee, but wife thought the crawfish poboy bun could have been better. Specialty drinks were very good. Atmosphere is fun and inviting. We'll return.
