Yesterday I went to the Kopper Kettle Restaurant for a birthday celebration for my aunt and it was ✨ Illustrious ✨!!! The food was so good and was real comfort food (sugar cream pie is worth the visit alone) ?✔️. The atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant was ? stunning ?. Service was flawless! Only a 30 minute drive from Indianapolis. ?♥️! ? #RedQueen4All

I first came here for lunch. Week later for dinner.
Food is so good. Can cut the steak with a spoon. The portions are huge. The style of cooking is vintage and reminds me of being at my grandmother's house.
Highly recommend.

We were looking for something different for dinner and we decided to try the Kettle. My husband had been there many years ago, but I had never been! We called our order in and when we arrived to pick up our food we were greeted by the hostess. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant, which was very interesting to hear. She gave us a quick tour of the dining rooms which is like stepping back in time. So beautiful! The food was expertly packed to go and when we got home we were surprised at the large portions! The food was delicious and provided several meals for our family! Thank you for such a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to return and dine in!

One of kind in the Hoosier state! Best fried chicken. Excellent service. Great place to celebrate with a larger group. Reservation recommended. So much history as a restaurant.

Went there for the first time in a long time and it wasn't what I had remembered or hoped for. The best part was the atmosphere. The back garden area is beautiful on a nice day.
The bad... our service was aweful. We sat at our table over 20 minutes and didn't have anyone take our drink order or even acknowledge us. They were not busy. The waittress working the table next to us didn't make eye contact once. I eventually had to talk to the staff at the front to get a waittress to finally come to our table.
The food was okay. It took awhile to come out, but for the price.. I would say the food is "bad". No seasoning at all. We had to ask for salt and pepper, because there was none on the table, and next to none on the food. The mashed potatoes were a consistency next to play-dough. The rolls and apple butter were both cold.
I expect that from like a Cracker Barrel, but when you play $25+ a plate for fried chicken and the like, I expect good food and service. I rated this place 5 stars two years ago, but something has seriously changed.

Steak was done perfectly. Green beans were great. Skip the mash potatoes they tasted processed or from a box.
