I remember when a drive thru was; place order, pay for order, pick up order, AND leave.Now, especially at this McDonald's (Mt. Vernon, IN.), it's place order, pay for order, pick up drink, and pull forward and WAIT!It's supposed to be FAST food!By the time my food is hand delivered to my car after waiting 10 minutes or longer any hope for ANY of the food still being hot or even WARM is out of the question. Cold McDonald's fries absolutely suck!

My husband & I stopped there on the way to Evansville. He got cookies & I got a Diet Coke. The cookies were fresh & the Diet Coke was amazing. McDonalds are famous for their Diet Coke.? The dining room was clean. The workers were all friendly.

Parking: The parking lot is large enough but when you are ready to leave you have to back into the area where cars are lining up for the drive thru which is difficult to see if a large large vehicle is parked beside you.

Partner ordered a mcgriddle with bacon sausage egg and cheese and even though the cashier was clear we wanted both bacon and sausage, no sausage was on it. He said he wasn't too bothered so we didn't go back through, especially since we didn't receive a receipt. My order was correct, and the sausage and cheese mcgriddle was delicious. Also the hash browns are much better than the ones in UK McDonald's.
