This is a great establishment.. don’t get me wrong. I have always recommended Zaps to anyone I know. But today? That stops.
My friend pulled a beef stick out of her purse inside your restaurant and was immediately berated. I get it. No outside food or drink. But come on, some situations deserve a little common sense. She was just trying to prevent her blood sugar from dropping. A quick bite could have been the difference between a really great time or an unexpected trip to the ER. And seriously… it was a beef stick. Not a four course meal.
And taking away an unopened bottle of water? Was it plotting against you? Did it suddenly become dangerous? Keeping it behind the bar felt less like policy enforcement and more like hydration hijack.
You’re basically telling a group of people, “Don’t come back here… unless you enjoy your friends passing out at the table.” Maybe next time, THINK before you leap to conclusions.

Large dine in, family friendly restaurant. Nestled in a small neighborhood surrounded by farm fields. Very friendly staff and fantastic service. They have a large variety of food and have daily specials which you can find listed on their Facebook page (Zaps Tavern). Large selection of beer and cocktails. Weekly drinks specials are also listed on their fb page. Lastly they have large party rooms for private events! I would highly recommend.

Great food and great theming. Meals taste very good, but are pricey. I would definitely recommend and would go back again!

I ordered a mad cow burger with slaw. The burger was great. The 3 patties were flavorful and the brisket although not little pink still was tender with some juice. The cheese melt was on. Over all would have gave a 5 on the food if the bottom bun wasn't totally full of the juices. Still even with that it was a great meal and the service was right now.

Was passing through the region and looking for a good place to eat. Looked at the photos on their Google profile and decided to give it a try. Very clean place, super friendly staff, and the food was incredible. It’s a little bit out of the way if you are simply passing through town, but beautiful drive out there and it’s only a few miles off of my Path. Definitely glad I went. Had the breaded tenderloin sandwich. Was actually more than I could eat.
