Food was dry and cold. It also took almost an hour for me to get my food. I won’t be going back. Very disappointing. I should have went with my first mind and went to Chili’s.

They seated us by a window and it was cold. Later I felt the heat comes on. The lightning was terrible...I used my phone light to read the menu. Waiter had little time to answer questions because of all the tables. Regardless. The food wasn't too bad.

For starters our server tonight Anthony G was very nice and attentive. Food was okay- but please ALL I have to say is clean the girls bathroom! The toilets were absolutely disgusting my whole meal almost came up.

hadn’t been to Applebee’s in over 10 years, and this was my first time back — and it will definitely be my last.
From the moment we walked in, nobody greeted us. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, yet we were completely ignored. Once we finally sat down, no one brought menus, no one checked on us, nothing. On top of that, the entire staff looked visibly irritated, including the manager who was handling take-out orders. The overall vibe was tense and unwelcoming.
I understand being overwhelmed when a place is packed, but that wasn’t the case here. There was no excuse for the lack of basic customer service. A simple greeting or acknowledgment goes a long way, and we didn’t even get that.
After waiting around feeling uncomfortable and unwanted, we decided it wasn’t worth it. Poor service ruins the whole experience, and this one was bad enough that I won’t be coming back.

This will be a long one. I have been to several different Applebees locations and have been very disappointed. Tonight, after years of not going my family and I decided to give them another try (first time at the Munster location). We happened to be at Cabela’s for Santa pictures and it was close so we were really only going out of connivence. I am so HAPPY we did. The manager at this location is phenomenal. She made the experience feel as if we were family. She was friendly, and responsive. Our server was a young sweet girl and was very attentive and effective. On top of that, our food and drinks were the best by FAR from all other local locations. We will defiantly be back! So glad we gave them another try!! We came on December 18th, 2025 around 8 p.m.

Just wanted to follow up to this review. Our waiter Terrence was amazing! Great attitude great waiter, just wanted to make sure he wasn’t involved in the bad food situation..
If I could give 0 stars i would! I paid over $100 for food for my family and it was not good. The service was horrible. No way it should take longer than 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. Management was a joke at this location and no one return calls. Never again. Please avoid this location!

Today November 23 2025 I took my family for the first time to Applebees in Munster on Ridge Road. Complete waste of time and money. $107.68 to be exact. Not including the tip. Our waitress didn’t take our order correctly. Drinks took over 15 minutes to get. And the restaurant is not even full. The five of us received our meals all at separate times so we couldn’t enjoy our dinner together. When we received our food. No napkins or utensils. You can’t make this up. My wife and I ordered the same meal. 8 ounce steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. My 8 ounce steak was 4 inches long. Her steak had the fat cap that was not properly seared off. Overall: Food rating and portion size. Fail. Dining experience: Fail. Will we return? Absolutely not.
