When the greeter took us to our seats I asked if they did anything for a 50th Anniversary dinner, was told he didn’t know to ask our waiter. Waiter said if we wanted to order a dessert that they would put a candle in it & light it. I proceeded to order a lemoncilll martini, it tasted awful. Sent it back to order a different drink, waiter came back said he can’t take it off bill but bartender will remake it. Never in my 64 yrs of life have I ever had to pay for a drink that didn’t taste right. Our table asked for bread & butter & we were brought 2 bowls not aware they were charging us $3.00/ bowl. We had a party of 6, 5 of us ordered Italian food, but we never received garlic bread with our meals & they have nerve to charge for regular bread & butter. 2 couples in our party were going to pay for the anniversary couple but this restaurant won’t take 2 credit cards to pay the bill. After paying the bill I went up to the gentleman that seated us & asked for the manager. He said he was & was sitting next to a dark haired woman. I asked him if he was management why wouldn’t he know if they did anything for an anniversary. He said he thought I was talking about someone singing. Okayyyyy. I preceded to say how disappointed it was to have to pay for bread in a restaurant. The lady speaks up & was very rude & unprofessional saying do stores give out free bread. We just had a $400 dinner & you can’t give your patrons “free” bread., or a free dessert for the anniversary couple to share? 50 years!!! When I said I wouldn’t be back the lady said please don’t! I can’t believe this restaurant has survived but then again, the same people were there when we walked in & no one else was walking in the door.

Food was fantastic and service was great, but they nickel and dime you for everything. Bread is $3, and canned soda refills aren’t free — which the server never mentioned.
They also don’t allow you to bring in simple cupcakes or a small cake for birthdays. Our group spent a lot of money, but we’ll go elsewhere from now on.
A friend had the same issue years ago, so clearly nothing has changed. Not surprised they weren’t busy on a Saturday night.

It was good. The staff was very attentive and the waiter helped my wife who is on the keto diet. A follow up though they tacked on a $70 tip onto my total when I called the mgr he didn't seem to care but I got my money back. I dont live in the area anymore but that result left a bad taste in my mouth.

What an amazing restaurant. Highly recommended. The atmosphere is reminiscent of Italy, the service is over the top, super friendly and higher attentive. The food, WOW. Three appetizers and three main courses later, the table agreed the food is extremely authentic and homemade, served piping hot 🔥 and full of flavor. Highly Recommended. A+++

Went with a group and we were in the private room. The service was great for the most part: friendly waiters, wine and food served quickly, plates cleared quickly.
The fettuccine alfredo was surprisingly oily, almost like the alfredo had separated. The pasta was also overcooked. The tiramisu was delicious, but I was never offered a box to take the rest home :(

I got there and it's a nice relaxing evening with superb service. We start with drinks, perfect. Next salad, house salad, outstanding. Eggplant soup was fabulous. Then we got to the main course I got the special pizza and my expectations were exceeded. Also, the staff is so kind especially Jackie and Leo who was rudely targeted for taking someone's order incorrectly.(not possible)Would give more stars if possible!! My grandson wrote this review. He has been coming for 9 years and our family for 35. Nowhere finer in NWI!

We love this restaurant!! We went yesterday to celebrate my scans for cancer to be CLEAR! As always, the food, service and atmosphere was wonderful. Yes, the food is top notch, but the prices are getting higher, and its is insulting that they charge for the bread bowl, which is ridiculous. My biggest issue is this. They have a front of the house gentleman there who looks like he just came out of a bar or from the beach! He's dressed in a old looking saggy tee shirt, jeans and sneakers. After seating guest, he sits at the first table, and is seen eating and on his phone. He looks unkempt, and is a poor reflection of Cafe Borgia! With the professional attire worn by the rest of the staff, this individual cheapens the wonderful ambience of the restaurant. Whoever he is, he should wear appropriately shirts, pants, etc. Wear what the waitstaff wear, anything other than what he's wearing. We will return, but please clean this up!!!
