Came for my birthday and was looking forward to it for a month. The appetizer was bland, the special was way too sweet but worst of all was the flourless chocolate pinwheel. I asked the server if it was a brownie like texture or moist and melt in your mouth. She said it was not at all brownie like but very smooth. This dessert was awful. Thick, tasteless and the whole thing hung from my fork it was so chewy. I had half a bite. She just said sorry and that was it! Way overpriced for mediocre food and bad service.

If I could give 10 ⭐️ I would! We had our wedding outside & reception at Cafe Borgia on 10/5/24 & it was perfect. Karen, the owner went above/beyond assisting us down to the intricate details. The food was amazing & the service/staff were outstanding! Our guests are still raving about it. Thank you for making our wedding everything we had hoped for & more ❤️ Tom & Elaine Stipanich

It was just lunch & got so much more. I remember when Cafe Borgia was in Lansing. It's still amazing as ever.

The food and service were both exceptional as usual. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a perfect evening. I would recommend this place for either an intimate dinner or a family gathering. We've been patrons since they were in Lansing on Torrence. They never disappoint.

Steamed mussels were fresh and tasty. $5 bread basket was not homemade and hard. Disappointing! Linguine Pescatora was bland, so I spooned the juice from steamed mussels over it and it tasted much better. Best is the ambiance.Loved the ceiling lamps.

No options for sides on main dishes
only mash potatoes and green beens. no more options
Not a good place when coming for a business meal
No separate checks. I need to separate meal from alcohol in my my bill but it wasn't posible.
No more than one payment type. inconvenient because we wanted to pay with 2 credit cards because each of us wanted to pay for our own meal.
They charge for everything, oil, bread. No manager on site.

I stumbled upon Cafe Borgia via a Google search to find a restaurant to take my sister to to celebrate her 23rd birthday. I was shocked I'd never heard of this place before, and the menu/reviews sounded great, so I figured why not try it. We both agreed it was the best experience we've had at a restaurant in a long time. We walked in, and we're expecting a wait because it was Saturday night, and the lot was pretty full, but we were sat within a few minutes of walking in. Our waitress immediately came over and took our drink and appetizer order. We knew what we wanted for our meal as well, so we placed that order too. Within 10 minutes, our drinks, including a cocktail and our appetizer of bread basket and garlic bulbs, we on the table. The appetizer was hot, fresh, and delicious! My sister ordered the pineapple upside down cake martini, and it was amazing! She had the Fettucine for her main, and I had the braised short rib. Both were a 10/10. My short rib was smooth as butter and melted in my mouth. We split a piece of Tiramisu for dessert, and it was incredible! The portion sizes are absolutely phenomenal for the prices. Our waitress was very attentive, and dishes/dirty napkins were always cleared right away. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, we had incredible service, never felt rushed, and the ambiance was wonderful. We will definitely be going back soon!

Another amazing dinner at Cafe Borgia. This time, we got the in-laws hooked on the place, too. Definitely will be dining there again.
