I got the skepatsi with steak and an order of Greek potatoes. I would highly recommend this place since the food is great because I'm coming back for sure. Also, got the mango smoothie which was really good too. I have some leftovers š
When I started Simple Greek in 2018 I really wanted to build what Covo is now, and they have delivered! Must go to eat and support a local restaurateur.

This was so good! It was my first time coming here and I let the worker know, and he was so polite in walking me through what they had and their ingredients. He was so kind and sweet, I will 100% be coming back when I can!

The Greek fries are excellent!
The lamb/beef protein option was horrible - full of gristle. I've never had gyro meat like this - could not eat!

Burnt dried up gyro meat, dead wilted leafy additions. Won't be going back.

Food was absolutely amazing. Got the Monday pita with Fresh toppings and the covo sauce was delicious. Hummus was soooo good! Grape leaves are to die for all around not one bad thing to say about this place. Will definitely be back for sure looks like I have found a new favorite spot to visit

The food was okay but WAY over priced. The tzakiki was actually watery, Iāve never seen it so runny before. The fries were super oily and not fresh at all. Both inedible. The employee who put our food together used a gloved hand to scoop out each different ingredient for my bowl, without changing gloves each time or using a utensil to scoop them out - so essentially cross contaminating everything in the process. The place was empty and the two employees were sitting down eating (which is fine/understandable) but they didnāt greet us or say hello when we walked in. Just weird, bad vibes. I didnāt feel soul in the place :/
Save your money and go to Mishkenut on Ridge in Munster. Much more reasonable pricing - not the same region of Mediterranean food but SO MUCH BETTER and fresher.

The place is awful. The people working here are totally checked out, the food has been sitting out all day, and the friers are broken. I can't imagine the standards of people giving this place a good review. It's barely passable as an open business.

My Fiance and I were in the mood for gyros and the place we wanted to go to was temporarily closed. I spotted this place on Calumet and figured eh letās try something new. I LOVED it! I went in wanting that gyro, but I opted to build a bowl. It was FANTASTIC! The ingredients are so fresh! The gyro was shaved, which was a bit different than what my Fiance was used to. He said his pita bread was a bit dry, but he still enjoyed it. Heās accoustomed to the greasy gyros we normally get. His fries were made to order. He said they were great. The Covo sauce was delicious. I saw someone get a wrap, it was HUGE! I should have gotten him the wrap. Both ladies that were working were very nice and fast. I tipped $5 for the excellent service. I highly recommend! I live in St.John and was smelling the food the drive home, so taking pictures wasnāt an option lol I immediately started eating. The bowl was so big, I have leftovers for today. Stop in and give them some well deserved business!

Tried this place for the first time. Have to say we were not impressed at all with the food. We ordered the veggie plate. It says it has a Greek salad but there was no feta cheese or olives. The falafel were dry and had no flavor. Iām pretty sure they get them frozen and are not made fresh daily. I think mine were leftover from yesterday and refried. The Greek potatoes were dry. The babaganoush was terrible. Iāve had it at other places and it didnāt taste like this. They do not have any tahini sauce which is a staple for this type of menu. The only things edible were the grape leaves and the pita bread. There was no soup or desserts available. How can you open your doors and not be ready for service. Iām being critical because Iām Greek and my wife is middle eastern. This is not the kind of food we grew up eating. If you want authentic middle eastern food take the drive to Pita Inn. They have several locations in the north suburbs. Itās a shame theyāre passing off this food as āMediterraneanā. We threw the food and headed to Pita Inn.

Iāve ordered from this place on DoorDash and food was good. Today I decided to stop in. Service was terrible. I came in and waited at least 7 minutes at counter. There was only one worker who was busy cooking lunch for to go order. She never acknowledged I was there so I walked out and had delicious lunch next door at El Salto. I came here because my cardiologist said eat Mediterranean style food. After my experience I will try it one more time as I know itās tough being in service industry. Ownership should have more than one person working during lunch hour.

First and last time coming here! I wish I had just gone home and eaten a can of soup! 1. Overpriced for what you get, my bowl was mostly rice l, some other skimpy flavorless toppings with the addition of a small scoop of hummus for a total with tax of 15.95! 2. I wanted steak, they were out of it, so I ordered chicken instead and I got what turned out to be dried out shaved chicken! 3. All the lettuces were wilted and bottom of barrel so I couldnāt put that on! 4. Trying to yell over the glass to ask things wasnāt fun ! 5. I overheard couple next to me asking about fountain drinks, they only had sprite and lemonade. How do you have a business that runs out of main ingredients? And has limited drinks available? A new business like this one is should be on their A game ! They are clearly NOT here ! This place reminds of the one that was in there previously that I tried one time too, they went out of Business, I wonder if itās the same owner. I guarantee you Covo will NOT be in Business very long !
