I had a group of 14, Cortney and Bri were beyond helpful making sure we were comfortable on the patio. Our waitress Liz could not have been kinder and the service was impeccable. The lake perch was delicious!! It all made for a super fun night. Thank you!

Recently participated in a private party at Danny Z’s and the service was exceptional. We were not rushed, and the waitress was extremely accommodating. I wish I knew her name to give her the appropriate recognition! The event was held Thursday, June 26th, possibly restaurant management can identify her and thank her?!

This place was great. Pizza is my favorite so I’m a little hard on it. The staff was amazing our server Carol was fantastic. The pomegranate tequila drink that I had was amazing. The staff altogether were warm and welcome. I will visit again several times more. God bless you.

I used to order from here ALL the time when they first opened. Then I started have issues here and there. My child used to love their pizza. Until this weekend, when again, he got food poisoning from it. Now he never wants to eat from there again!. The last few times I’ve ordered my child and myself wind up with food poisoning! Literally the last 4-5 times. This weekend I ordered a pizza (my birthday weekend) and I had 3 extra kids. All 4 of us wound up with food poisoning. I went through a whole big jug of laundry detergent (brand new), and I’m still going to have to dry clean a bunch of items (which won’t be cheap), I missed two days of work and my child missed a day of camp, which was $45 for the day. I’ve worked in food service for almost 30 years and never in my life have I eaten at a place consistently and gotten food poisoning consistently. The employees must NOT be washing their hands and taking care of their cold storage food items properly! Additionally the food has become extremely greasy! Even if it’s a food item that shouldn’t have grease! Like their grilled chicken. There has been a few times my “grilled” chicken was literally put in the frier. Calling and complaining does nothing especially if you’re unable to call the day of.

Great pizza, but dropped the ball with service on recent visit. This is one of our favorite places for pizza in the area, and we go there regularly. The food is always good, but today, we sat there for over 20 minutes without a single person stopping by to offer us water, offer to take our drink order or even just acknowledge our being there. It wasn’t even especially busy - most tables were empty. We gave up and went somewhere else.

Great food! Good service! Average prices. Unfortunately some recent modifications have created mass chaos when they get busy. Watch your feet as tripping is a potential hazard and booths falling off the ledge are a serious concern.

We decided to try a new bar near Highland and came across Danny Z's, but we will absolutely not be returning. What started as a fun night quickly turned into a disappointing and outright offensive experience. While enjoying our evening, another individual—who is a current employee took it upon herself to tell me that she was Mexican but that my music was "too much." Later in the night, she approached me again while I was dancing to Spanish music (merengue, to be specific), saying, "Let’s make a deal—how about you stop playing Mexican music?" This was not only offensive but also completely ignorant. I even told her she could play whatever music she wanted as long as she paid for it, but her behavior was already out of line. My friends were understandably upset by how I was treated, but instead of addressing the inappropriate behavior of this individual, the owner's son decided we had to leave. It became abundantly clear that this place is not welcoming to anyone who isn’t white. If you’re looking for a place that values inclusivity and treats all patrons with respect, Danny Z’s is NOT the place to go. We won’t be back, and I’ll make sure to spread the word about our experience.

So we have been ordering from Danny Z's for years and I am not sure if this is a new policy or something I have missed in the past. When I picked up my takeout, they are charging 3% for using a credit card. They call it a "charge fee."
I get it, they have to pay the credit card company a transaction fee and are now passing this fee along to their customers. Sorry, not a fan of this policy. Furthermore, having a "Tip" line on carry out is just wrong.

Part of this review has to do with me using hearing aids. It was way too loud for me to hear the conversations with the people we came with. It's partying for you who enjoy it. Service was extremely slow. It was close to an hour after we ordered. My entree was barely warm like it had been sitting for awhile. We ordered iced tea, which I nearly finished while we waited for food. They made no offer to refill the glass even after I held it up when the waitress walked past. When we were done and said no to dessert, it was nearly another 20 minutes before we got the checks and at least ten more minutes to bring our cards back so we could leave. NOTE: We got there at 4:00 to try to beat the rush, and finally got out around 6:15. Of course it seemed longer to me since I couldn't hear enough to converse with our friends.
