Friendly staff. Excellent service and the food was absolutely amazing! There is an 18% gratuity added to all dine in checks. I felt the service was well worth it, i actually added to the tip. Very highly recommend. Planning my next visit!

I go to this place infrequently, and at various locations. This place is excellent! The food and the service always is exceptional. I especially love the Chef's Platter. It used to be called Chef Juanito's Platter when I first ordered it. The churro dessert was also quite good.

Great spot in a nice area. The wait on a Friday night wasn’t long for a very busy restaurant. The chips and salsa were great- hotter sauce is available on request. The guacamole appetizer was fresh and delicious. I had the Nachos El Salto (from the appetizer menu) for an entree- I love marinated pork on nachos and it was a nice surprise to see it offered here. They were truly delectable! Enough for 3 but then again it IS an appetizer! My husband had the Pazole which he loved. I had a yummy Banana Mojito- the menu is fun with offerings you don’t see at most restaurants-all food was fresh and came out in a timely manner- we would definitely visit again when in the area!

El Salto in Munster has become our go-to destination for celebrating family events, and they never disappoint. The food is always tasty and plentiful, and we enjoy dining on their patio.

I want to give a shout-out to our server from our most recent visit, Erika E. From her attentiveness to her friendly, outgoing personality, she was awesome. My big regret is that we neglected to mention that we were there celebrating my wife's birthday, so we missed out any added festivities.

And my only complaint is that I wanted one of their Taco Emergency t-shirts that the servers were wearing, but they didn't have any in my size.

Sometimes you hit a home run at El Salto and you get great food, service and atmosphere. However the majority of the time unfortunately for this location in Munster is inconsistent. If you are ordering take out, be very specific in your ordering online or by phone. Also, take out.. before you leave check your order!
