This has got to be one of my favorite restaurants! Always great service and amazing food for the price! Feel free to try anything on the menu, you won’t be disappointed! And the clam chowder…… to die for! Don’t forget the dessert! Best gelato around.
Once again, we had an amazing lunch . Food was awesome as always and our service from Maggie was Top Notch, she's an obvious asset to your staff. Maggie was very attentive, courteous, friendly and a great personality. we'll be back for sure

What a perfect restaurant we went out tonight for some Italian food but when we got there we found out Giovanni's also is a fine dining establishment we got a 12 oz filet and a 16 ounce ribeye and this is one of the best meals I've had in 10 years the entire night was perfect perfect service perfect food I couldn't have asked for better we just eliminated five other restaurants from our favorites by coming here we will never bother with those other places again very reasonable prices they're lasagna dinner is $20 very reasonable

We were in town for a few days of training. I called and the lady I spoke to said that reservations were preferred, " but you have only three people, I will get you in". I am so glad they were able to get us in. The food was outstanding. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was great. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great Italian food. I would give 10 Stars if I could.

The food is always delicious. I have never been disappointed in the food. We had their half priced goat cheese and bread and it melted in your mouth. The only thing I would say that bothered us was that we felt very rushed. We were enjoying our soup and salad. About half way through and here comes our main meal. Please give your patrons a chance to finish their first course without having the main meal pushed under their noises. There we were with the main dish in front of us and we were still trying to eat the soup and salad. I expect that kind of service from a diner or fast food place. But from a restaurant of your caliber? This will not stop me from coming, but I guess I will have to tell the waitress to please wait until we finish our first course before bringing the main dish.

First time here and it will definitely be our go to date spot when we’re in the area. Such a cute cozy Italian establishment. Our server Kylie was a Phenomenal server. She was so sweet and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed & keeping our table cleared for us. We got the bruschetta, calamari, Crab stuffed shrimp, Caesar salad & crème brûlée. Everything was so delicious.

True Italian dining
Every meal I ordered was amazing. The drinks were delicious.
I had the gnocchi ala vodka sauce and I’d recommend this, I will be back. My waitress was very friendly and gave me good recommendations as this was my first time at this restaurant. They had live music and the ambiance was great / it is a true gem here and I’d recommend for a date night or family meal. I will be back.

We are long time Munster residents.
We have dined at Giovanni’s over a 50 year period.
The past several times something seemed off.
We alternate between Freddy’s Steakhouse and your restaurant.
Presentation of food was poor.
My husband had the 8oz Filet and I only chose a spaghetti dinner because the waitress upon greeting us told us “ we are out of baked potatoes “.
My husband said his steak was just ok
The salad was boring and the salad dressing was bland. I could go on and critique each item but I won’t. Even the water glasses seemed sad and dull.
But what struck me was the atmosphere.
On a Saturday night these customers should have seemed happy.
No one was smiling, no laughing.
Felt like I was on my lunch hour Downtown and had to get back to work.
We were actually on rolling office type chairs.
We are older now but there was an even older couple next to us and we all had to keep chairs
From rolling.
Prices are more than reasonable but we won’t be back.

Doesn’t respect Veterans. No discount for them on Veterans Day. Blocks people from their Facebook page for mentioning it. Good food but WON’T go back due to disrespecting

Angel was absolutely lovely for our group for a funeral luncheon. She was kind, helpful, attentive and sweet. The food was tasty and reliable. Altogether a very nice group dining experience.

This past weekend (11.9.24), I had the less-than-pleasant experience of dining at Giovanni’s Restaurant. It was, to say the least, both frustrating and disappointing. To give some context, we made reservations for 20 people to celebrate my aunt’s 90th birthday. This detail was shared during the reservation process, I should note. We arrived promptly at 6:30 PM, and by 7 PM, our entire party of around 25 people had gathered.
For a gathering of this size, we had only one server. Initially, she was friendly and accommodating, but she soon became overwhelmed. Her feeling overwhelmed does not indicate a lack of capability on her part, but rather reflects poorly on management for placing that burden on one individual. After that point, the evening took a turn for the worse, with appetizers being served at 8:15 PM and dinner not arriving until 9:30 PM; some menu items had to be changed due to a shortage of baked potatoes. Additionally, food was returned (and comped) because the shrimp tasted like it had freezer burn, and finally, cold dishes were served and sent back.
After going through that ordeal, we finally reached the end of the evening with our bills. Another mess occurred when checks were distributed that didn’t correspond to anyone in our group, and some guests from our party were billed twice, requiring one of them to reach out to the restaurant the following day. We also had to wait nearly 20 minutes for our credit cards to be returned. It was TERRIBLE!
Keep in mind this was a birthday celebration. There wasn’t a Happy Birthday song from the restaurant's staff or even a complimentary dessert for the birthday person. ALL RESTAURANTS DO THAT!! Management did not offer apologies nor remorse for our subpar dining experience. The highlight of the night was spending time with family.
To sum it up, I wish me, and my family had selected another restaurant to celebrate such an important milestone.
