Their yams were good. I got the soul bowl. The greens were good but kind of salty. The yams were good. Seasoned just right. The pot roast was good. I have to give him that I did not like because the peach cobbler came in a roll like an egg roll. I would have liked to had some dipped out and put in a bowl. I'm not used to this. I haven't tasted it yet. The cornbread is too sweet and it's like it's jiffy not real cornbread from cornmeal. I feel that that so-called cornbread should have been on the top wrapped separately, not mushed up underneath your food. I won't go back again. I'm sorry

I don't know what they put in this incredible cuisine but I've never felt so much love, heart, and soul in cooking before in my life. I quit cooking on Sunday now for sure...you must try the Soul Bowl...OMG!

First time orderer! I ordered the Rasta pasta, jerk chicken potato, and buffalo egg roll. Pasta and potato was good, eggroll flavor was good, but slightly over cooked. I definitely recommend and will try again! I ordered online, only waited two minutes after quoted ready time.

My husband had been trying to get me here for sometime now, but they only open on weekends so it took us a minute to get there but let me tell you...we are glad we made it. The soul food bowls were very good! My husband had the pot roast which was amazing. I had the baked white meat chicken, my breast was moist and seasoned well. The sweet potatoes were good, a bit dry...I like mine a little saucy. The peach mango lemonade was fye! They are a bit pricey, but as we know prices are up everywhere and people have to make a profit. I would still go back, great food and service!

Ate here for the first time yesterday with my sister. Had great conversation with the lady who waited on us and love that they promote other Black businesses.
We enjoyed the cheese grits, the jerk, corn beef, and peach cobbler egg rolls and a slice of lemon cake. Everything was absolutely delicious. Don’t know if I’ll make it back for soul food Sunday, but I will definitely bring friends with me to try the daily menu items.

Came here from Detroit and despite some of the negative reviews (which there are only a few) i decided to stop and have lunch. First off when I walked in I was greeted at the door with a warm Hello by the lady at the counter. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu (which was unique by the way) and explained what everything was. Never heard of a peach cobbler egg roll but I was intrigued lol. Needless to say I tried the shrimp Alfredo potato and a peach cobbler egg roll. All i can say is WOW!! The potato could have fed 2 people the Alfredo sauce was phenomenal( you can tell it was made from scratch) Let's get to the STAR of the show. That peach cobbler egg roll. LORD HAVE MERCY!!! It had some sort of cream filling that made me feel like I was eating peach cobbler with ice cream in it!!!!!! Wow. Hats off to the chef and the staff keep doing your thing. We need one of this places in Detroit.

Von’s Vittles was AMAZING…not only the food but her Catering Service as well…they came in set up…it was for my Sons Baby Shower…we ate and then very efficiently & orderly they took everything down without us even realizing it…that’s how great they were…So I highly recommend Von’s Vittles whether you stop her restaurant or you use her for Catering!!
