I gave the food in the restaurant a 4 because for the price, my chicken and dumplings was a fairly small portion. However, their berry vinaigrette salad dressing was fabulous...and the 4 pack of maple cinnamon rolls that I bought to take home with me were beyond amazing!!! If I ate here again, I would eat something other than the chicken and dumplings...but I would DEFINITELY buy MULTIPLE boxes of the cinnamon rolls.
We were in the area for a family wedding and went over to Amish Acres for a late breakfast one day. We weren’t sure they were even open because the parking lot was almost empty. Our server told us they had just begun to open earlier and word still needed to get out. The brunch buffet had lots of options and our server (Esther) was very attentive even though we were the only people in their huge, lovely dining room. The rate was a little pricey (at $24 each) but we were happy...
We had to change our choice of eating after the play to eating at noon rather than at 5 pm, (on a Sunday) so we had to have the brunch rather than a dinner. The brunch was only ok....the eggs were over done and scrambled, they did have a variety of other foods so that was helpful. The desserts were very good but did lack some flavor. the oatmeal cookies had no flavor and seemed a little too dry. On the other hand the wait staff were great!
