They are so rude will never shop there again

Had the Haystack Salad. Generous portions lettuce, chopped tomatoes, ground beef, chips, and cheese over perfectly cooked rice. Mint tea was very pleasantly flavored.

I used to really love this place, but lately…the friendliness factor is greatly lacking. I love supporting small businesses, but I do not like to feel like I’m inconveniencing someone by choosing to spend my dollars there. Plenty of other choices in town.

My husband and I were in the area for a fun weekend getaway. We drove past this commons building/indoor mall and had to check it out. It was so cute and quaint with shops ranging from antiques to fashion, purses, jewelry, even some gorgeous live slabs of different trees to make into tables, etc. The one place that o can't say enough about is the Nappanee bakery within the building. Everything looked fresh and yummy. I ended up buying a loaf of white and wheat bread along with a dozen yeast rolls. Let me tell you that those rolls and bread was the most delicious fresh tasting bread I have ever eaten. I just wish I could order it and have it shipped. Now if you are a person that prefers light and airy bread, then this is not for you. But, if you like a nice heavy heart bread then you will not be disappointed. Enjoy its truly fantastic. I'm literally driving up there, around 1 1/2 hrs one way this weekend just to get more. Yes I froze the rolls and when I need them I thawed them and still turned out fantastic

If you ever get the chance buy their mocha cream cookies ?, they're ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS ?

I go there to purchase the wonderful custard pie they make! I don’t even have to ask for it , they just ask me how many? Everyone is wonderful there

I was coordinating food for a funeral dinner and Marilyn and the rest of the staff at Nappanee Bakery were extremely helpful and kind, making the process very easy. Not to mention that the food was delicious!

Tasty food. Delicious broccoli slaw. Operates kind of like a “food court”, because stores and an antique shop are in the vicinity within the Coppes Commons building. Shoppers can walk freely through the seating area. Enjoyed our casual lunch before exploring the other shops and historical aspects of the building. Had ice cream at adjacent Rocket Science Ice Cream.

They have a fabulous assortment of Amish goods. I bought a wonderful loaf of Amish bread with Italian herbs, Chai spiced tea mix, and Mrs. Millers Bell Pepper Basil homemade noodles. The selection of goods is awesome and I would have bought many more items if this hadn't been the last stop on our Amish shopping trip (so I was already loaded to the gills with great Amish products). Next time I will start here!

I came to Nappanee with my friend Jenn, and she used to work for the owner Marilyn in another place before a fire years ago. Jenn brought me here a couple of weeks ago, and we loaded up on tasty provisions. The quality of the food - the best Pecan Pie I’ve ever tasted - brought me back to stock up with treats for a road trip and to grab a sandwich for me now. Things I have purchased here and love include chicken and beef base, garlic-parsley homemade noodles, real pecan spun honey, chocolate chip and chocolate crinkle cookies, peach gummies, honey Chex mix, peppermint bark squares, a loaf of wheat bread, TWO pecan pies, soups and sandwiches. Everything is just delicious here, made with Amish (Mennonite?) attention to detail, quality ingredients, and love.

Marilyn is absolutely fantastic. Love their lunch and baked goods. We also love ordering their dinner rolls.

Tried to call in an order and owner acted annoyed with me. Sad. Won't be back and I've been a customer for years.
