I love the small town coffee shop feel. The small town customers. I stopped in from out of town (STL) and I heard the owners and staff talk to their regulars and it’s such a lovely thing! I have such a soft spot for this soft, slow life, small town atmosphere.

A true hidden gem!

New Harmony may be a small town, but it’s home to one of the most magical spots I’ve found on the road — Black Lodge Coffee Roasters. The moment you walk in, the cozy, rustic-industrial interior sets the perfect vibe. It’s family-friendly, welcoming, and the staff are genuinely some of the friendliest people you’ll meet.

Whether you're taking a date somewhere special, stopping in on a road trip, or just looking for a place to relax with a great cup of coffee, this place delivers. And the scones? Absolutely out of this world.

If you’re anywhere near New Harmony, do yourself a favor and stop by. Highly recommend!

Great coffee and a genuinely unique atmosphere! I absolutely loved the pairings and photographs on the walls — such a tastefully curated setup that makes the space feel both cozy and inspiring. It’s one of those places where you want to linger, enjoy your drink, and take everything in.

We have visited 3 times now and have always had wonderful experiences. The staff are friendly to customers and to each other. You can tell how passionate they are about this experience and the quality of their products. My husband and I found ourselves feeling so grateful for the “escape” of the real world for a while to enjoy a cup of coffee. They make awesome recommendations with their expertise- so if you aren’t sure what to get, talk to them about it!

I just came here for the first time and I will be back! Friendly staff and the latte was the best ever! Cool building and a nice place to sit and enjoy your coffee. Highly recommend!

Best coffee!!! And amazing service!

Wonderful coffee and wonderful people! My daughter came here for freshmen day with USI. We came back 5 days later and they remembered her name and were so inviting. Love this little place and will continue to support them!

Gorgeous on the inside, extremely friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices. Definitely not a place for your kids, come with your significant other for a relaxing and delicious experience!
