Randomly stopped here for coffee on my way to Kentucky. Alex was very welcoming & friendly - we had a wonderful conversation and he told me a little about the town's history. I got such a good vibe from our chat that I ended up booking a place to stay in New Harmony for that night. It's an awesome small community town with awesome people. Thank you Alex & Black Lodge for an amazing life experience. Oh and the espresso is delicious :)

I have been coming here for A year every time I come here it brings smile to my face the coffee is amazing the workers are amazing and I recommend coming here.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The team is kind, thoughtful, and inviting. The drinks are tasty and they always put good art on the lattes. The environment is clean and beautiful. Alex, Ben, Caleb, Leslie, Graham, Iris, and a few more just make the experience magical. Thank you for offering the community this sweet space.

My husband and I came to New Harmony for the day and stopped in the coffee house… Absolutely AMAZING coffee AND service!!! Alex was incredibly personable and his love for what he does really shows! I had a Brown Sugar Latte and my husband had a Dirty Chai and both were delish!!!! We will definitely be back!♥️

This place is a hidden gem! We are from Charleston, SC and each year we visit family in IN. I always make sure I stop at this coffee shop. The quality is amazing, the people are so friendly and it’s just overall such a special place. Highly recommend!!!

I've finally ended my search for the perfect Matcha Latte. It ended with Alex @ his shop Black Lodge Coffee Roasters in New Harmony,IN. The friend's that were with me each had different hot drinks and they raved about theirs as well. This small town of 700 people,established on the wild
frontier as an experiment in communal living in 1814, is worthy of an overnight destination trip when you have a whole day to spend. Check the events schedule as they have concerts and theatrical events in addition to the tours of the historic grounds and buildings. If you have a choice in guides, try to get Heidi to guide your tour that leaves by tram from The Atheneum. Best docent ever.

A must if you're in NH. Alex and Graham are super cool. I highly recommend you order their coffee online for home baristas.

I had an excellent matcha latte but the best part was the friendliness of the young man and woman working there. I was elated to find a dairy free, gluten free piece of pumpkin cake. Delicious. The young man told me about Jovial gluten free pasta. I agree, I like it better than regular pasta?. Thanks for a delightful visit.
