I have been visiting Lic’s regularly for a few months now as my dad recently moved nearby. The employees are always very friendly and professional and the food is top notch. It is a great place to visit for a quick meal and great dessert!

I have been coming here for ice-cream, soups, and mainly milkshakes for year. I visit this lics about 3 times a week and have never had a bad experience. Great customer service with very down to earth vibes. Amazing milkshakes and good hearty soups and chili. Cannot recommend any other ice-cream place in the evansville area as much as the Newburgh lics.

The food could use some work chicken salad only had chicken pickles and mayo chili was mostly tomato soup with very little meat and beans. The employee were eating and drinking were we could see them one with gloves on who didn't change them afterwards.

Meh. My friend raved about their chicken salad, I was not impressed - kind of wet and just not great. The drive-up server must have been having a bad day because he wasn't helpful. When my sandwiches finally came out the young woman who brought them to the window was sweet, friendly and apologetic for the wait.

Ice cream is great but the kids working could use some coaching.

Chef salad x 2 was equilivent to bag salad mix from Sam's with good dressing. We've always loved the salads and food but noticed the food and service went down hill a few years back so we don't visit weekly like we used too. I don't mind paying a premium price for quality product but I think this was the last visit with lics. No meat, tomatoes were horrible and an expensive bill for two salads. Obviously you are lacking training or quality in your product. I'm not looking for a free meal or a rembersment but hoping you will fix the issue as this isn't the lics quality that I have grown up with my entire life, 50 years in this community and frequent Lics customer for life.

Drive thru went quick even on a busy hot summer day, ice cream scoop prices were reasonable. Mint chocolate chip delicious.

The Cuban sandwich was amazing! If I didn't live 45 minutes away, I would have already gone back for another! And the peanut butter & banana shake was really good too!

As a paying customer I expect to be greeted with a smile. Instead I felt like I was inconveniencing the young lady. She did not know how to say thank you. I had other choices of ice cream places to go but chose this one. Not again!

I wish I could give Lic’s a higher rating because I've been a loyal customer for years, ever since I was a kid. Now, as a parent with young children, Lic’s has become one of our go-to spots for a treat. My kids love getting a bite of ice cream now and then, and we often find ourselves here. The old-fashioned interior design adds a nostalgic charm, and whenever we dine inside, we’re always greeted with warmth and hospitality. I've consistently felt well taken care of during those visits.

However, my recent experience at the drive-thru has made me reconsider my overall rating. The other day, after the lunch rush, my family of four decided to grab some food to go. Normally, I’d go inside, but we were in a bit of a hurry, so we opted for the drive-thru. When I pulled up to the speaker, they asked me to wait, which was fine since I hadn’t decided what we all wanted yet. After settling on four meals and two kiddie cups of ice cream, I started to order when prompted. But after placing my order, I was met with silence. I had to ask, "Hello?" before they told me to go ahead and continue. It was frustrating but not a big deal. I repeated the order, confirmed it was correct, and then drove up to the window.

At this point, I was still the only car in line. The person at the window handed me the two kiddie cups, which I placed in the cup holders, and then I waited for the rest of our food. And waited. After 15 minutes, the ice cream had started to melt, and a line of cars had formed behind me. Finally, they handed me two of the four meals. Another five minutes passed before they gave me the rest. The cashier, clearly frustrated, asked if anything was missing. I said no, and as she shut the window, I heard her mutter, “Well good then.”

When I got home, I had to refreeze the ice cream for my kids to avoid a meltdown (literally and figuratively), which took about 30 minutes. The food itself was just okay. We ordered grilled cheese sandwiches, among other things, but the chips were placed on top of the sandwiches, making them soggy.

Overall, I was disappointed with the experience. I’ll still come to Lic’s, but from now on, I’ll stick to going inside. I hope this was just an off day for the staff and that future visits will be better.
