Restaurant not open and we were not advised! Be sure to call the restaurant directly to confirm your reservation and verify that they are open. We had a confirmed reservation for a Sunday evening for several different couples, all meeting at the restaurant. We even received a message from OpenTable the day before, confirming our time. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely dark and apparently had been closed for several days. Our phone calls went unanswered, voicemail advised to make reservations on OpenTable. I did send them a message asking for someone to call me- three days later and no call back. We had to scramble to find an alternate location for 6 people. This was highly disappointing and did not reflect well on us or obviously on Nellie's.

Everything was great. The food is good However was told it will be closing for three weeks and certain bar and food items were not available

Great brunch experience! Chicken fried steak and eggs was so good. I'm craving them again the next day. Idk what they put in the gravy.

The brick chicken was excellent. Macaroni and cheese a little bland. The collard greens and artichoke dip was excellent as well. Definitely would join them again.

Food was fine once it came. The kitchen was very slow. The restaurant website lists menu items no longer available.

Very strange, sterile atmosphere for a southern style restaurant. Fried chicken was obliterated. Potatoes and gravy were cold.

Delay for main course was over 30 minutes after appetizer arrived. Country fried steak is some sort of very thin piece of meat not cube steak. So thin, the crust overpowers everything. Flavor is decent, they just need to use the actual right piece of steak.

Service was amazing! Food was delicious. Everyone was super sweet. Soft drinks was constantly being refilled without asking. I will definitely be back!

The restaurant was nice, not enough staff. The macaroni n cheese was terrible, the collard greens had to many stems on it and for it to be a Soulfood restaurant they had No cornbread very disappointing.

Nellie's Southern Kitchen was wonderful. The hostess was more than welcoming, our server was attentive, but not too much and the food was exquisite. I had the fried catfish, drunken collard greens and fries. Everything was seasoned to perfection (NOT Salty.) The biscuits were good too. I think the price was a little high. Just a little. The decor with the baskets of birds hanging from the ceiling was intriguing. I highly recommend Nellies in Vegas' MGM Grand.

I was expecting more from the food, atmosphere, and staff (it was not busy, and the waiters were talking or texting every time I looked around for help). I was really looking forward to the fried chicken (my fav) but I liked Hattie B's Hot Fried Chicken 10X better! The Crack House was also tastier - and both of the other options are less expensive.

I guess we should expect southern food to be heavy on carbs, but it was challenging to find a healthy option

The salmon was so good, I went back the next day and had it again! My husband said his fried chicken was excellent. We'll definitely go back next time we're at the MGM.

Went on a Sunday. Braised short ribs were dry. Fried chicken was dry also. Had a great server, ambiance was ok. Loud due to Sunday night football. Highlight was the Red Sangria. Probably wouldn't go back.
