Zen Ramen & Sushi

Great sushi and ramen. Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable.

I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and a shrimp tempura roll. The ramen was underwhelming to say the least. Many places who charge high make their noodles in house but these were definitely some sort of instant noodles. The broth also seemed like they boil water and add a packet of dry seasoning. The pork belly was decent but also not the best quality. It was not tender and lacked flavor. Usually the ramen egg is good but even the egg was off, it tasted like vinegar. I have a feeling everything is made way ahead of time and refrigerated or put in vinegar to preserve it and it just gets heated up once ordered.

The shrimp tempura roll wasn’t bad but mediocre for a sushi place. For the price I’d rather get sushi from Kroger bc it’s arguably better.

I might be a harsh critic bc I travel a lot for work and have had really good ramen in LA and Chicago. I really wanted this spot to be good bc it’s near but it just didn’t cut it. I often hold back on writing a bad review to avoid hurting a business but the fact that they are charging more than places that actually make proper ramen is not cool. Just bc you’re in an area where ppl spend more does not mean you should automatically charge more. Don’t raise your prices if you’re not willing to raise your quality.

The only positive was the service. The gentleman who served me was kind and did a good job. I did not have the heart to tell him the food was bad bc it’s not his fault.

Sushi was great.

Delicious food and even better service! Our server gave us great recommendations. Very kind people! Will be back!

Best Tonkotsu i have try!
Not greasy, oily like other places. Broth is just right! they spicy Paste are amazing.
Also try they Amazing roll & Naruto Ramen. ( huge portions)
Will be back again !

Our 5yo wanted to eat a bento box and we stopped by this place close to home. They have a great selection of ramen, bento boxes and rolls.
We had the spicy garlic edamame, pork gyoza, chicken Karaage bento box and a specialty roll.
Everything was tasty!

Food is good!!

I had the miso ramen and it was delicious, enough that plans to return were made at the restaurant. Staff is friendly and courteous. You should eat here.

Came for the first time with my sister on Monday at 7 pm. The server was on point, somebody from the kitchen came to the FOH and we exchange few words, he was really kind. The food was yummy. We ordered Black Garlic Ramen and Veg Egg Rolls, with Tempura Cheesecake as dessert. Really good flavors, nice portions, temperature of the ramen was ok, besides that 10/10.

How can you fail so badly? Maruchan with the flavor packet put the Tonkatsu to shame. Words cannot express how HORRIBLE this food experience was.
The store is clean and simple. The staff was very pleasant, but inattentive. The noodles were like undercooked thin spaghetti noodles, flavorless broth. The ingredients were decent, the eggs ruined-obviously had sat out for a LONG time after being cooked. I have no clue how old the chicken in the picture was we literally cut it open.and couldnt find any meat in it. Yes that's the chicken?! This was the worst meal I have had at a restaurant in years, if not my entire life. $60 and time I can't get back!
When I told the wait staff about the food, she brought me my check and made change. No attempts to remedy, or waive the charge.

Lovely restaurant. Staff was very kind and the food was really good. Good vegan options available.

Dietary restrictions: Vegan options that are labeled. Accomodations can be made for others if it's feasible.

Kid-friendliness: Brought an 8 and 10 year old. Staff were very kind and understanding that they were new to trying this food. There are chicken nuggets available at a fair price if the kids aren't interested in the food.

Ordered takeout, black garlic ramen and chicken karage. Chicken was so dry, overcooked and the seasoning was so terrible. Was not authentic at all. I couldn’t even take another bite. What a waste of money. I was shocked.
Ramen broth was okay, but the chashu was so so dry. Never had anything like that. It’s always tender and juicy. The seasoning was off too.
I’m disappointed after having a long, bad day, thought this might be a nice idea as comfort food. Turned out it made my day even worse.
Almost 30$ went to waste…
