We have been a huge fan of CRIMSON OAK since opening week.We made reservations for six adult and one child for Saturday 7/20/24 at 5:15pm. Our waitress seemed to be flustered. It took extremely long to get our drinks. Then it happened with the appetizers. We could see other folks being served that had come In after us. We finally got our dinners over 2 hours later. Like always, the food was all great. We chalked it up to our waitress having a bad day.

Lunch service took 45 min to get food, but we were not in a hurry and the food was very good. We will definitely be back.

The atmosphere is always on point. Since they brought in a different chef. In my opinion, the food is not quite as well prepared, hopefully the chef can hone in on what was premium quality meals .

Nice place doubt I'll go back though. The service was awesome. The waitress was absolutely amazing. The appetizer was really good, had the fried ravioli. I had the madison Ave strip with mashed potatoes and green beans. My buddy had Tuscan chicken and small ceasar salad. He loved his food. Mine wasn't so good. The steak had no flavor and was kinda tough. It was medium well to medium, closer to medium. Looked and cut like a ribeye instead of a new york strip. The taste wasn't there, literally no taste. The seasonings and butter they put on it didn't add anything but a touch of heat. Definitely not worth $45. waffle house steak tasted better. The mashed potatoes were amazing, these did not have the goat cheese in them. The green beans tasted raw with garlic and some other seasonings. That's on me though, I'm just not a fan of those kind of green beans. Had cheesecake for dessert. It was very delicious. The atmosphere was ok. I had no idea what to expect other than it would be loud from my memories when it was white front. The live music from the pub side bled into the dining side too much for me, but that's me. I went to visit with a friend not listen to loud music.

What the ever-living hell to which I have arrived? They have a dish they call, "the country girl grain bowl," which is quinoa, smoked salmon, harboiled egg, english cucumber and cherry tomatoes. This restaurant is in a small town in the middle of Indiana Corn and Soy growing country. There are cows, horses, pigs and chicken, old fences, and barns on these country roads. There's real farmers 'round here, but the pretentious Cali-NY folks that own this place (or they are going for that Cali-NY feel) think that dumping mod-stash quinoa in a bowl and serving it in the country, and naming it "the country girl grain bowl" is going to sell it to real country folk from the country. Welcome to New Yorkers disguising themselves as "real country folk," with a "nice midwestern restaurant." That was so pretentious it was a slap in the face to honest farmers who surround this sad little restaurant.

Excellent burger called the Whoa Momma, cooked perfectly by the way. Shrimp creole farafalla was delicious. The Pig the Fig and the Goat was highly talked about with our guest.
