The best home cooked meal you can buy! EVERYTHING is homemade. Country fried chicken, homemade chicken drippin gravy, homemade mashed potatoes, homemade noodles, fresh local grown vegetables, and the most amazing homemade pies you will ever have, with a buttery, crispy, flakey crust. The best scratch made dinner roll that you can make a meal of in itself. This family run restaurant is like Sunday dinners at grandmas. From the mis-matched tables and chairs to the rustic, homey, cozy decor, and that warm feeling of family you get when you are greeted by Mrs. McKinley, it's by far my absolute favorite restaurant I have ever been to!Reservations highly recommended, as they are only open on Saturdays 4pm-8pm and closed in the winter months.$20pp Cafeteria Style AYCE BuffetPlease tip generously, as this restaurant is a rare gem, and they deserve it!***Cash Only***

This is probably one of my favorite places to eat in Indiana . And likely the closest to southern cooking you will find. It's not a large buffet but there is more than plenty to eat. Their pan fried chicken is delicious as is there freshly cooked vegetables and sides. This is definitely a not to miss place if you find yourself close to Terre Haute. It's about 30 minutes or so south of Terre Haute.

Family friendly restaurant. You get what you paid for. It's a buffet restaurant and the food is really delish. I would love to go back! I love their fried chicken and ham balls. It's tasty. They also have homemade pies and cakes that are really good too. All homemade and fresh. They have bunch of food selection. Great service and amazing staff. You need to call for reservation and they only accept cash.

Small farm to table buffet. Unfortunately like most establishments, they are having trouble getting staff. The owner greets you, takes your $18 which includes unlimited buffet, desserts, and drink. The buffet line is manned by 2 who dip all your choices. The fried chicken is great. Desserts are homemade. Salads are made fresh and include what is harvested from their gardens. I would be there when they open or an hour before closing to avoid lines.

They were a little busy the night we were there, but the food was good.
This is a place I’m reluctant to rate, it’s so good I don’t want everyone showing up there! The fried chicken here is pan fried and seasoned perfectly. The ham balls are amazing. Their fruit salad, pasta salad, tomato salad…..it’s just better than anywhere! That fried chicken though, it’s my favorite. It’s a buffet of all you can eat, but the best part is you walk through and pick what you want and they put it on a plate. It is just so much better than wondering who has been touching all the utensils in a buffet line and where their fingers have been! Don’t forget the homemade pie and the rolls with real butter. ( no margarine or fake butter spread) GREAT JOB McKinley’s! I’ve ate here numerous times and have never been disappointed.
