From the warm welcome to the friendly good byes, this was an enjoyable dining experience. The service was top notch and the food brought back find memories of my time in Italy. This was my first visit to the restaurant, but I am a frequent patron of the INItaly Pizzeria & Bar. The addition of live music, makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. I will be back again. The drive from east Indianapolis is so worth it, dining with good people, eating wonderfully prepared food, and relaxing, knowing you are being taken care of.
I made a reservation to celebrate our anniversary on a Saturday at 7:30pm we select the wheel cheese experience. We passed from “it will take couple minutes to be sit” to 30 minutes wait no matter if i made the reservation almost a week before the day. The next excuse was that they were making sure the table we get is ok to do the experience. The truth was the restaurant was overbooked and we were sit on the first table right in front of the entrance and all the wind from every time someone open the door hit me (now I'm sick thanks!). While we wait we have not offered any drink to at least keep us entertained, once we sit it took about 10 minutes to have someone to serve us water and bread without having a chance to order a drink. Once the server went to our table just went to take an order (no recommendations just an order taker). We ordered our appetizer and wine was really good. When we finished our appetizer is when the server went to take the details of the entree (the wheel cheese experience) we added an 8oz filet mignon and the server asked how much we want this cooked and we said medium and it was well done, the pasta was overcooked and the cheese wasn't enough melted with the pasta, either my husband or myself couldn't finish the plate and order to put togo to just trash that next day was impossible to eat. Last but not less important we order dessert (the only thing that the server offered during the entire time we spent there) the tiramisu was really good and the cannoli just good. I feel very disappointed, i took us almost 40 minutes drive to get there and we were excited to eat in a authentic italian restaurant and it was a fail!
We were celebrating our anniversary. Everything was at a very slow pace to get any kind of service! The food was just okay for the price. Its ridiculous to have to pay for extra bread when you are paying so much for the food! We asked if they do anything extra for Anniversary celebration. We were told they give you a candle??? I the waitress ended up giving up a scoop of chocolate gelato.
Food was simply excellent. Wine excellent and good value. Would have like more choice with cocktails.
This restaurant gets great reviews but I've been twice and both times felt it was lacking. The ambience is great and with music added, that makes it better. However, the food is not great. The menu is very limited. I ordered the filet with fettuccine noodles. The filet was well done and cut into pieces and tossed into the fettuccine noodles that were swimming in olive oil. We ordered the burrata cheese appetizer and when it arrived, I asked if it came with bread or crackers. We were told it was an upcharge. Of course we ordered it. Just seems strange cheese comes with nothing. We were interested in lasagna. Apparently you can only get that at lunch. The gelato was great.
We had a lovely experience with piano music to accompany our meal. Our starters were so well plated and the calamari was the best we have ever had. Dinner was risotto and raviolis. Everything was perfection. For dessert everyone had tiramisu and coffee once again everything was perfect.
We thoroughly enjoyed out first visit, to celebrate a birthday. Upon our arrival we were cordially greeted and promptly seated. The waitstaff were both prompt and attentive. Our respective Caesar and Caprese salads were fresh and perfectly dressed. My. husband's Genovese entree was uniquely savory and comforting; my Ravioli Funghi couldn't have been more decadent and flavorful! We topped our meals with creamy Tiramisu and Chocolate Lava Cake with Coconut Gelato. We found our experience to be an excellent value and can't wait to come back!
Been trying to try this place for several years. Definitely lived up to the reputation and reviews I've read.
Very friendly atmosphere, the service and food were excellent. Saw a few tables doing the cheese wheel experience, that was enjoyable to watch. Can't wait until we go back to experience the cheese wheel as well.
Always is a great experience. Ambiance Authentic Italian food Service knowledge. The wine list is expansive with descriptions and suggestions.

We had a lovely experience and the staff went out of their way to make sure we celebrated our anniversary, complete with a handwritten card, candle in our dessert, and a few happy wishes from staff. The food was delicious, but not a lot of options. The only reason I gave them any type of deduction in rating was that we felt the wine was very overpriced for what it was, and for additional bread you would be charged extra. I'm sure we paid for the bread for what we paid for the wine. Overall, we will definitely go back.
We have been to Catello’s many times. On this occasion, we were celebrating our anniversary. I ordered the Genovese which is described as being “slow cooked”. It was exactly what I was hoping for. The beef was tender and the herbs did a nice job of marrying the beef to the rigatoni. My husband ordered the Salmone & Verdure. The fish was cooked perfectly- not dry and not undercooked. The vegetables and white wine sauce were the perfect companion by allowing the salmon to be the real star of the show. Our very knowledgeable server suggested a Rosé to accompany the salmon dish and she paired it perfectly. The staff is friendly, educated on their food, and right there filling your water glass or offering more wine. The atmosphere takes you to Italy. You cannot go wrong here.

Wonderful experience! Authentic Italian cuisine. The burrata and pasta dishes were fantastic.
We enjoyed our dinner overall. We were a party of 4. Our friends both ordered the Risotto and Gorgonzola which they enjoyed. My husband and I ordered the Cheese Wheel. Our only disappointment was that we ordered it with fettuccine and our server told us they only do it with rigatoni. We were a bit confused and questioned that it says your choice of either on the menu. We said okay. As we were finishing our meals the table next to us got the Cheese Wheel and they got the fettuccine. This is the only reason I dropped the 5th star.
🇮🇹A Taste of Italy at Catello’s Italian Art Cuisine in Pendleton, Indiana.🇮🇹
Catello’s Italian Art Cuisine in Pendleton, Indiana, delivers exceptional food and service that make every visit special. The dishes are flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared, while the staff is attentive and welcoming, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Chef-owner Catello has created a restaurant that feels like a true celebration of Italian cuisine, and his passion is evident in every detail.
We were delighted to meet Catello’s daughter, Chiara, who showed us the INItaly Italian market within the restaurant. The market offers a variety of house-made products, including fresh pasta, sauces, mozzarella, and tempting bakery items and gelato. It’s a great way to bring Catello’s quality home.
Having recently returned from a trip to Italy, we were struck by how closely Catello’s food mirrors the authentic flavors we enjoyed there. The pasta dishes reminded us of meals in Sorrento, with perfectly cooked noodles and vibrant sauces. Even the gelato rivaled what we tasted in Venice—smooth and full of flavor. Catello’s captures the essence of Italian cooking with remarkable authenticity.
For a more casual option, Catello also runs INItaly Pizzeria & Bar in the same block serving hand-crafted pizzas.
We love Catello’s for its authentic Italian cuisine, made with the freshest ingredients and house-made pasta, pizza dough, and gelato. It’s a must-visit in Pendleton, and we’ll be back soon.
