We had a great first dining experience. The ambiance was delightful and the live pianist was a great touch. The music was at a level you could hear and still have a privateish conversation without raising your voice. (We were pretty much right next to the piano) The food was delicious and the cheese wheel pasta was perfectly prepared. The chef was conversational and made it an entire experience. Big city dining experience with a small town feel.

My husband and I came here for a date night and Catello's did not disappoint! We kept getting so many recommendations and finally made it there! I enjoy the wine selections, but if you're a beer kinda drinker your out of luck. Just a heads up there. 100% recommend for a date night!

Great food, great atmosphere. Nice wine and drink list. Our only complaint was that they must have been short-staffed because our wait staff gave us very little attention. The food was timely and delicious.

We drove an hour to try Catello's after we heard about it in an online foodie group. Everything we heard was true. This place is fantastic! We were greeted by a super friendly hostess who showed us right to our table. Our waitress followed right after and was super helpful since it was our first time. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was great and house salads to start, also good. We decided to order the cheese wheel since that drew us there and we added the black truffle. The chef came out with the cheese wheel and gave us the background of it while he heated it and then tossed our noodles. He added the pork bits, truffle oil and then super thinly sliced truffle. I can't explain the light creaminess of this sauce and the truffle just sets it off. We ended the evening by trying the creme brulee and we weren't disappointed. It was wonderful! The atmosphere was romantic, there was a piano player, and the low lighting really set the mood. Great date night celebration for us. Highly recommended!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. We had a reservation at 7:30. Waited until 8:15pm and still had not been seated. When I watched 3 parties get seated before us that had arrived after us, I approached the front staff to ask what was going on. She was very short and proceeded to sit others still. My husband and I left and unfortunately were not able to enjoy a nice dinner out together.

Pianist nice touch. Had to ask for our bread (not the first time). H I had Lamb+ pasta. - yummy. Jeff Salmon - goood. Nice table (but crammed a little. Tightly end to end - bumped chairs on both ends on the way in and out with tables on eitehr side of us. .Professional, attentive service. Happy to have a choice of reservation times on a Fri night; full when we arrived at 7:30, not by the time we left.. Sad to see Castelton location close.

Truth be told, we only tried this place because the Indy Foodie guy made it look amazing on his video. Honestly, I do not know who is keeping this place open. But maybe that is why they seem to be closed more days than open. Who isnt open on Monday, Saturday or Sunday? Walked in and no one at the front door when we arrived. Music was so low that I knew everything about the people sitting across the room( no, seriously, even what scrips they take and the fact their card wouldn't run.) Seriously need some music volume. Bottle of $19.00 wine cost us $47.00. Boyfriend food was just alright, and mine was horrible. The seafood was so overcooked that I did not eat anything but two shrimp. The tomatoes were overcooked by a long shot. The waiter was friendly and helpful, the decorations were warm and inviting, but the rest had me questioning how this place has been open for years. Total let down :(

Overall, good experience. We went mainly to try one of their pastas with their unique cheese wheel, only to find out they weren’t offering it at the time because they were too busy. That was disappointing.

I'm always traveling and looking for new places to eat. I came by Catello's by accident and it was credible the ambiance , the service, the food, the neighborhood. I love it when the owners Chef is in the restaurant and they come and greet you and come to your table and ask you how was your meal, I ordered the eggplant Parm The lamb and my favorite carbonara, not frozen fresh. The meal was incredible.
