The server was very nice, the place is very small so you’re able to have conversations with other diners. The side dishes were great- the green beans, the Mac and cheese and the Brussels sprouts. The fried chicken was just ok. They were out of rolls and had no desserts available.

This place was delicious!! There were 6 of us and we got 3 entrees and 3 sides and an appetizer. That was the perfect amount of food. The roast beef with horseradish was the best beef I've EVER had. So so so good. You've got to try it. Everything else was also very tasty. This place is definitely a hidden gem!

Hidden gem. Family style meal is the way to go. Fried chicken, roast beef and gnocchi were amazing. Service was prompt and friendly. Surprised at how little it cost to feed eight of us.

I placed an order for our Christmas party to be picked up cold on Saturday at 4:00, knowing it would need to be fixed a day early because they don’t open until 4:00. I was fine with that. I arrived at 4:00 to pick up my cold order. I was headed to another party so expecting to run in and pick up my order quickly. Come to find out, they hadn’t even fixed it! The cooks had just arrived, the equipment wasn’t turned on and the server said she could call me when it was ready. No! I ordered it cold and ready to pick up! I had no choice but to wait a good half hour while they prepared my food hot. I then had to run it home and put it in my frig hot. ( I’m a cook and know not to put food in my frig hot) I was disappointed with this well-known catering company getting my order wrong.
We love Hoosier Roots! The staff is great and the food is amazing. The menu has a one thing we always get and I can't stop thinking about for days afterwards: brussel sprouts! The rest of the menu is as unique as it is delicious. The venue itself is pretty small but they can be accommodating for larger parties if you call 30 mins ahead.
