Came to this restaurant to have an after funeral dinner, 6/21/2023 4pm. Where we were met with wait staff making nasty/rude comments about coming in as a big group. The waitress we had was stuck serving the big group by herself as the rest of the wait staff stood and watched even though the rest of the restaurant was empty (only 1 other table). Our waitress said she would be back to receive the rest of the orders for our table, then forgot them. When reminded the waitress got...read full review

Dick Clark's Family Restaurant offers a mixed dining experience that has stood the test of time since 1947. The food is widely praised as excellent, featuring highlights like the best milkshake, a large, tasty tenderloin, catfish, and a perfectly cooked Ribeye bone-in steak. The restaurant is known for its clean environment and friendly atmosphere, which some visitors find reminiscent of growing up in the Midwest, providing a subtle slice of Americana.
However, the service has faced challenges, with reports of long waits for food and even running out of onion rings. Customers have noted that the waitstaff, while doing their best, sometimes forget orders or condiments, but these issues are often easily resolved with reminders. The lone server, Ava, has been described as a vibrant and delightful presence, adding to the overall experience.
The menu boasts a wide variety of options, but some sandwiches do not include sides, which can make meals feel a bit pricey. There is also an additional charge for credit card use. The lighting is somewhat dim, yet the restaurant maintains a quiet atmosphere without the distraction of screens, making it a good spot to relax and catch up. Despite some service hiccups, diners continue to recommend Dick Clark's, hoping that new ownership will keep the quality and service consistent.
