AJ's Main Street Diner

What a discovery! AJ's is a very nice place with a fantastic Mom and Pop feel. The service was excellent; the staff was very friendly, even managing well while very busy. The food was great—we had a wonderful breakfast. Based on our experience, we are already planning to definitely be back to check out the lunch menu, which we imagine is just as good!

Friend and I decided to try this place for the 1st time, staff was very friendly and the prices are great. My friend enjoyed his burger that he added cheese and bacon to and fries. I got the cod sandwich and chips, it was ok but definitely needed some seasoning and a toasted bun.
Just a heads up, sandwiches come plain, be prepared to tell what you want on it: cheese, lettuce, tomato etc.

If you sneeze while driving by, you could miss this diamond in the rough. Their food is freshly prepared and delivered in a timely fashion. You will never be neglected during your visit as the servers are very attentive. Good food, spotless surroundings, and reasonable pricing make this a great choice!

We wanted to stay longer but we were out of sorts. On the way from Madison to Charlotte, this bustling local Diner was a perfect fit of breakfast staple with easy to find substitutes for favorites back home.

The crumbly biscuits are a new fave. I can't wait for my next trip through town.

First time here. Love AJ's the atmosphere alone is great. Mom and Pop. Great food. Very friendly staff. She was very busy but we can understand why. Just a very nice place to to sit at the bar or booth and enjoy a great breakfast. I would imagine the lunch menu, food is just as good. We will definitely be back.

One specific lady is always working the front counter, she won't wait on us and never does unless she is force to.
I guess that she is telling me that we are Not welcome there.
The manager /Owner says that it's because they were short handed today, however this is her behavior everytime I go there.
I not saying the food is bad, actually pretty good, just the experience with this one lady, says don't come back.
