Waited forever to get seated and the were only 15 people in the restaurant. Waited a long time for food which was average I come here alot but if you don't have the staff to take care of customers then shut the doors. Worst experience ever here

Ordered a 8oz sirloin and it was over charred and more rare in the middle than medium rare. Steak was also very chewy and no flavor so I’m thinking very cheap meat. Kids chicken strips over deep fried and super dry. But the waitress was very great and was super nice. Won’t be going back there due to the food.

They need a manager. Pretty sad you stand at door and they’re not busy. Bartender looks at you. But she was to busy doing nothing. Piss poor service just trying get seated. Waited about 10 min. And walked out. I’m sure the food would have sucked to. No one cares.

The last couple times we have been there, apple bee's Richmond, Indiana there wasn't enough help, 1waitress and 1 cook and 1 bar tender. We could see people standing waiting to get seated, turn around and walk out. There were a couple sitting at a table got up and walk out. The waitress did a good considering all the people that were there. They are trying to put all the work on 1 waitress, 1 cook and 1 bartender. The cook did an excellent job, food was really good.

We haven’t been in an Applebees in quite a while but I gotta say I was impressed how they have turned around. The great value is what brought us back and the kind service with pretty decent food will have us going back for sure. Good job Applebees. I do gotta say the boneless wings were awfully bready. I’ll stick to real wings.

UPDATE: 4 years later I forgot about this experience and decided to try Applebee's again. Huge mistake, had to stand around 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my presence and then my order was wrong. Manager couldn't give a crap less and just stood around while my pickup order got cold in the back. Took forever just to get my order wrong and make me drive back and forth for an hour. I'm never spending another dime here
I went last night with my fiancé and for starters, the service was totally fine. Standard applebees experience, sat quickly and the server was fast+friendly and I bought a beer because she suggested it. But when we started getting our food everything went very poorly. My nachos were cold, my fiance's steak was cooked well done when she asked for medium rare, and my honey pepper tenders were burnt to an absolute crisp. I couldn't eat one bite and had to spit it out, the flavor was totally gone and replaced with a black burnt taste. The breadstick that came with my dish came out like 5 or 10 minutes after my food did. Everything was just completely wrong or ruined, and I 100% blame the kitchen for us never returning to this location. It was slow and we ordered very simple things, yet nobody preparing it cared about the quality whatsoever and it was obvious. I didn't complain because I felt ridiculous telling a server that literally every item we ordered was messed up and shed be embarrassed for something that she had nothing to do with. Had to write a review, this experience ruined applebees for me as a brand.
