Yamato Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi

Had the Bento Box with beef broth soup Hibatchi noodles, spicy tuna roll, dumplings and chicken Katsu. The meal overall was good. I’d give the food a 3.5 and everything else as listed. M passing thru but would eat there again.

Great. Sushi was mid. Compared to the one that used to be in Connersville, this place is trash. I would come back only if somebody else was paying. And I would probably fight them all the way to the restaurant to go somewhere else

Wow. I wasn’t expecting to be blown away cuz the overall rating is mediocre but I love it. I got the nigiri sashimi combo and the fish was fresh and it was a generous portion. I usually leave hungry when I get sashimi but I was able to half home with me. Miso soup and salad was good and my husband’s habachi chicken was fine. Loved the free fried wontons they give you too. Will be my 1st place to go for sushi!

The highlight was that our server, Kelsey, saved us from walking out. After we were seated, we waited more than 10 minutes with no one giving us any attention. Kelsey noticed us from her section, and she came over to serve us even though we were not her customers. She was a delight, had great recommendations, and was quick and went above and beyond. The food was amazing! We will definitely be back…if Kelsey will serve us.

The food portions were huge! My husband and I ordered the hibachi entrees and everything was delicious. Our son ate the California rolls and he loved them so much he had to order another plate of them.

Kid-friendliness: Our 12 year old loved it and he was so excited about the beautiful atmosphere.
