First time eating here with my girlfriend. We were excited to try because we both love Wagyu. I ordered the 5 oz filet and she ordered the 5 oz Ribeye. I was served a New York Strip instead of a filet. Didn’t say anything to the staff because we had after dinner plans with friends and had already waited a long time for our food to come out. Neither one of us were impressed with the quality of our steaks. Normally when we eat Wagyu steak it’s the most tender and buttery steak compared to other breeds. This Wagyu was tough. Tougher than the steak we buy at the grocery store. And it costs us over $200. I was waiting for someone to jump out and tell us we got punked. Sadly, we won’t be back.

I have never written a review like this before. In fact, never written more than 2 or 3 reviews. BUT, I just have to communicate our experience. This restaurant touts the "Wagyu" beef quality and taste. They raise their own Wagyu cattle. Researched this online, there is a "farm experience", "emporium gallery experience", and the restaurant. We were prepared for a $75+ steak meal cost (in the heart of the midwest, mind you). I ordered NY Strip. My wife order the filet. We were a little surprised at seeing our steaks were going to be 5oz servings, but expected to experience an exquisitely tender and flavorful beef meal. Instead, the NY Strip was 4 thin slices, cold to medium warm, and not special. My wife's filet was thin (3/4 inch thick at most), tougher than my NY strip. Again, no special flavor. The JD potato side is a potato cake... and was extremely salty. We enjoyed the sourdough bread appetizer....but was $12 for 4 toasted half slices that we dipped in a somewhat interesting beef tallow butter. This experience took over 2 hours. The martinis were the best part of the evening. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Only 5 tables were filled in the main dining room during our time there on a Friday night from 6:30-8:30.

Wonderful experience, and that’s what it is, a true dining experience! The food was fantastic and the service was superb. Take your time and enjoy the food, atmosphere, and art.Do not expect this to be like other “high volume” restaurants that serve moderate tasting food. At Joseph Decuis each item is crafted with the care and refinement you would expect to find in a Michelin star restaurant. Each morsel was mesmerizing as your tastebuds are taken on a journey that leaves you yearning for the next bite. I’ve been fortunate enough to try other high end restaurants around the US and am happy to say that Roanoke, IN is blessed with one of the very best.Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly!

We enjoy going to Joseph Decuis to for the setting and a nice date night. We've found the food quality to vary pretty widely though, depending on the current menu. Our scallops were cooked perfectly but the beef was less so on this trip. Overall its nice, just inconsistent.

We had high expectations as I've grown up in Roanoke and heard all about Joseph Decuis from family and friends over the years. We finally got to go, and It was better than we anticipated! The service was amazing but the food was even better! Best steak and fettuccine we have ever had. They also let you pick your own steak knife, which a server comes and lets your pick from a case and they are hand crafted, the experience was awesome.

Was good, but so many better places in Fort Wayne for the money. Small portions and everything was ala cart, $12 for 4!pieces of bread.

My fiancé and I went to Joseph Decuis for a celebration dinner. The whole staff was so inviting and accommodating. From our hostess, to our server, the manager, the bartender, and more, every single touchpoint was met with wonderful hospitality and genuine enthusiasm - we REALLY felt welcomed there! Even though Fort Wayne/Roanoke is a 2 hour drive for us, we are making plans to make this a monthly dining spot! We were even lucky enough to meet the owners, Pete, Alice, and Tim. What a treat, as they took the time to get to know us and our stories, and shared a few of their own. If you are looking for the best dining experience in Indiana and beyond, head to the cute town of Roanoke and reserve a table at Joseph Decuis!!!Dietary restrictions: Easy to find meals for any dietary restriction

Every single bite of food was absolute perfection, and until you eat at Joseph Decuis, where even a simple carrot is a joy to consume, it's hard to understand just what perfections means. Absolutely outstanding experience.

Okay, great place to have dinner but left a little to be desired. Drinks, appetizers, salads, and dessert were all amazing. When we got our main course both me and my finance had 8oz steaks cooked medium rare, mine was almost rare and his was closer to medium rare. The sides for the main dishes were small for the price of the dinner. We didn’t expect massive portions, but these were just too small for the price. Potatoes are not expensive. The next day me and my fiancé both felt very heavy and the food did not sit well with our stomachs. Super good service and super good atmosphere though!!

Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful staff, and the WAGYU! Oh, my! If you know, you know! To make the experience even more unique, they give you a choice of beautiful steak knives to choose from, which is a nice touch. This spot is a hidden gem and one-of-a-kind in Indiana!

Location, ambiance and service were excellent. Salads missed the mark a bit (combinations of flavors left them a bit sour), coconut shrimp and accompanying rice were burnt black, and steaks appeared to be strip rather than ribeye (almost no marbling).

Wagyu beef is the reason this restaurant is so special! They own their farm of 100% wagyu beef. The menu for December includes steak tartare, bone marrow, and wagyu ribeye steaks. They have an interesting yule log for dessert! I recommend the 100 year anniversary Grande Marnier to accompany that dessert! Tres bon!

We celebrated my grandmothers 96th birthday. The entire staff made her dinner very special, from the welcome to the dining experience. Thank you to all at Joseph Decuis who made this a night to remember for her.

Our experience here was well below our expectations and the price point. We had a reservation for 6:15 on a Saturday evening. Service was unprofessional, and servers were not attentive or knowledgeable. The food was overcooked and not served warm. The wine selection was minimal, and bottle service was not even an option. We would have had a better experience at Applebees for 10x less money.
