Although the beef is their signature I opted for the pecan encrusted fried chicken salad. It was absolutly delicious with the well accompanied mildly unique parmesean jalapeño dressing. The serving of salad was plenty and the service was extremely friendly and hospitable. Our delightful lunch was what you would hope for on a fun day out enjoying quaint Roanoke Indiana.
Service was excellent and attempted to be very responsive and attentive for our party of four. It was a bit hard on the server, as the coconut shrimp was burnt, its fried rice accompaniment was similarly burnt, and the steaks appeared to be strip more than the ribeye that was ordered. Additionally, the apple salad seemed mismatched with the heavy coating of shredded Gouda and the shaved Brussels sprouts salad was a bit bitter. We did not risk dessert. Went to the Emporium for the first time today with some friends. Dennis was an amazing help and really made my friends and I feel welcomed! Dennis was very knowledgeable on the wines and even brought us out some to try! Even though the areas for dinner we’re not open, he walked us through and gave us a tour and it is such a beautiful place. We will definitely be back for dinner!
