Used to come here every Sunday morning for weeks/months before we moved to my house in Fort Wayne and listed Nicks house here in Roanoke. Haven’t been here for quite some time but our orders were still remembered and of course the food is always so great!
Solo customer - semi local. Been in this place 4 times. Normally go weekdays, always semi slow service on coffee refills. Today, Sunday, place was a ghost town early. 4 servers on floor, order taken immediately, great. Food comes out in short order, great. Then get bypassed the rest of visit. No 'is everything ok', No 'do you need anything else', nothing. I had 1 cup of coffee, the empty setting on the edge of table waiting, no refills. So I left leaving half my breakfast set. Every server spent there time in conversations with people/locals they apparently knew.
And to think I went to a good place for my birthday breakfast. NOT!!!
But the food is good, service is in the toilet.
If you're a traveler, stranger to the area, definitely bypass this lil place.
Also really watch what they charge on your ticket! $7.50 on the special board turned into $13+ for only 1 extra egg and '1' cup of coffee. Tipping isn't necessary here at those rates. Done being nice to businesses for nothing.

What a joke of an establishment, ordered food they ran out and offered other choices, I chose from what the offered and they told me No were not going to do that were gonna close and were not making you anything...... SUCH A JOKE

We love to ride to different locations but everytime we do, we always say, " it's still not Nicks". Cannot beat Jimmy's breakfasts. I personally like the pancake special with an egg and meat. More than enough.
The waitresses are questionable at times but we love them anyway! ?

Nice, cozy atmosphere, family, and group friendly. Food portions are huge. Plan on a take-home box for breakfast.

Me and my wife stop to get breakfast. The service and food was not great. I was charged $35 for 1 Omlet, 1 double gravy and biscuit, and 2 coffees. The Philly Omlet had no cheese in it and was very dry. Very small cups of coffee for $3 each.

This place has some pretty delicious food for a great price. The food was a lot more than we had anticipated. I got their breaded tenderloin sandwich, and I was not disappointed. It was pretty large for the sandwiches size, which I found to be funny. Regardless, this is a great place to eat with your friends and family. I recommend them.

Tried the Nick's special. A massive breaded tenderloin with grilled onions and slaw. It was very tasty but more than I could eat at one setting. Service was good, and pricing was comparable to other places.

Arrived slightly after 11:00 a.m Saturday. Originally told no gravy. Long after we ordered, told no waffles...or anything with syrup. Then tried to order a cinnamon roll, but alas, out of those, too. Ending up taking our party four elsewhere, as they hadn't yet started preparing our other orders anyway. First time visiting, likely the last time.
