We go here from FW and have always loved the experience and enjoying various non-GF/GF breads and pastries. It reminds me of the bakeries back home in Detroit. The raw smell of flour and oven, an experience that’s so rare now. I understand the amount of work it takes to run a bakery and appreciate the owner is always her authentic self. The product speaks for itself.

So happy we found a spot with so many dietary free and gluten free options!
While visiting the shops in Roanoke, my sister and I stopped in here to try the pastry. The danish were good and fresh, though a bit doughy. If the young lady working there is the owner, totally unfriendly. Never said hello or thanked us for coming in. However, when another customer comes in, she greeted him and was very friendly…possibly a regular. So we like giving business to locals, but will pass going here again.

Sour dough bread is fantastic!
I gave this place a fair try. I visited 4 times and the experience was consistent.I only get desserts when I visit, so I can only speak on those. I get the salted caramel bar. It tastes heavy of condensed milk, which I like! The macarons are well made, flavors are okay. Wouldn't get the bear claw again. It was on the dry side and didn't hit the characteristic bear claw points for me.Now, onto the reason I won't go here again. Every single time I walked in the door I felt as though I was putting the woman working out. On two occasions she gave a frustrated yell from the back saying she'd be a minute, the other two times I patiently waited without acknowledgement. She is not friendly at all, doesn't even try to fake it. I am friendly and a pretty easy customer, so if I say it bad...it's bad.The shop is cramped and cluttered. Not very inviting. It seems like most of the business they do it B2B. I feel if they are going to have a storefront they should hire someone for the front to deal with walk-ins and help organize.Pricing is high, but if I wanted cheap I'd go to the grocery store. The best thing it has going for it is the smell! And it does smell great in there. To the owner: I support local businesses, but only when they want it.

This lady is rude beyond belief. Just look at her reviews and her replies to those reviews. Save your money and your time by going to a different place.

My girlfriend and I wanted to support a local business and this looked like a cute place. First thing we noticed walking in was the extremely high prices. Granted the sweets looked good but 4 dollars for a cinnamon roll, over 40 dollars for a single pie, 30 dollars for 12 cookies.. we just ordered 1 vanilla chai drink to share to see the quality before digging deeper in our pockets. 7 dollars for a drink that tasted pretty bland compared to the other two places we regularly go to. Also, the lady just seemed.. not happy. Wasn't welcoming at all. There was no greeting like a hi! How are you?.. she acted annoyed that we wanted to add white chocolate and brown sugar cinnamon to our drink..ill say that she was not Rude, but she wasn't at all happy to make our drink for us. I had high hopes for the place, but we won't be back. Especially after looking at other reviews and seeing that she was rude with other customers that had complaints. If you run a business. You should always try to make things right, not be miserable and tell them to not come back.
If the lady even smiled at us, it would've made the whole experience a tiny bit better..but she couldn't even do that.

Delicious torte!
These are French treats ! Very tasty!!!!!
Wow! Just finished a turkey cheese croissant and it's one of the best croissants I've had EVER! Her croissants are exquisite! Enjoyed an excellent sourdough loaf a few weeks ago. Make sure you stop in during a visit to Roanoke and stock up!
I tried a macaron (very good) and a couple of other things. All were good.
Pretty disappointed. I ordered a 9" birthday cake. It looked really good. Decorated nicely and iced neatly etc... Problem: the icing was like eating a mouthful of Crisco. It wasn't sweet at all. I don't need an overly sweet icing but this was terrible. The whole cake was incredibly bland.I appreciated the fact she was able to take my order for a birthday cake needed the next day but this was a massive let down. At $50 for the cake, never again.
