The cocktails here are absolutely amazing! Every time I come, I get a seasonal one. The one I got recently was a keylime pie martini and it tasted exactly like the real thing! Additionally, the food is spectacular and the servings are generous. My burger, which was the ROC burger, was cooked well and came with delicious, seasoned steak fries. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. Additionally, the service was spectacular and so quick! I look forward to eating here again.

I would not recommend this restaurant for catering, especially for important events like weddings. Months before our wedding, we reached out to them because we saw they catered hors d'oeuvres and had plenty of options. We reached out and set up a meeting to discuss our catering needs. We provided an estimated headcount and discussed all the details thoroughly, even making a 1.5-hour drive to meet in person. At that time, they assured us everything was fine and said to simply call once we had our final headcount.

When we did—just over a month before the wedding—they acted like they had no idea who we were or what we had agreed on. Despite writing everything down, they didn’t remember any of the food options we discussed. After giving them our final headcount (which was around the estimated headcount we initially told them), they hesitated and said they weren’t sure if they could accommodate that number. I was told they would speak with the chef and call me back the next day.

That call never came. Weeks passed without a single follow-up. We were left in the dark and had to scramble to find another catering company. Fortunately, we did, but the unnecessary stress and lack of professionalism from this restaurant was extremely disappointing.

Their customer service was poor, communication was nonexistent, and reliability was clearly not a priority. If you’re planning an event and need dependable catering, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

While the atmosphere & service are good, the food was disappointing. My husband & I ordered the pork chop. It was woefully undercooked & tasted like cold ham. The side salad is what you’d expect from any restaurant, nothing special. The mashed potatoes were good. Portions are a good size but quality is average. Overall, especially for the price $$$, not worth it!

Pleasantly surprised by my dining experience here. I didn’t expect this nice of a restaurant in Rochester - shame on me. The atmosphere takes full advantage of the building’s age and character. The service was top-notch, the menu carefully considered, the food excellent, and the bar well-appointed. Highly recommend!

We had 4 people at our table. We were not waited on as we saw other groups coming in and getting taken care off even though we were sitting right at the kitchen entrance by the bar where the staff kept stopping and talking to each other. I would have thought they would have noticed how long we sat there with no attention. After about 15 minutes my wife informed them that we had not been waited on. At that point we ordered drinks and appetizers. It was so strange because employees were coming out to the kitchen taking one item at a time to other tables. Our drinks were the same way. Finally after having been there over 30 minutes, the waitress started bringing drinks to us one at a time but she forgot one so my sister in-law had to inform here that she didn’t get her drink. My wife and I had ordered firecracker shrimp as an appetizer. We got our appetizer after about an hour being spent in the restaurant, and we got ours before the other couple. At that point I realized the appetizer was only 5 shrimp for $17. That comes to $3.40 per shrimp that were nothing special. We did offer the other couple one of our 5 shrimp but they declined seeing how little there was. Of course we were had eaten our appetizer before the other couple got their’s. We got our meals 1 hour and 15 minutes after arriving and I have nothing great to say about the meals. My wife and sister in-law ordered shrimp and grits and they had to pull the shrimp out of the sauce with their fingers because the tailed were left on. I can say the fries were good but at $100 a couple it was a very bad experience. This was a bad review but an honest one.
Note: Thanks to the owner for the reply but there were some incorrect statements in the reply. We were never notified there would be a delay in service at any point. In fact a large group was seated beside us AFTER we had been sitting there and they were taken care of long before us. I think the problem was that no one was assigned to wait on our table or there was some miscommunication about it. We did not complain at the restaurant and we paid with cash, so for owner to be able to find out what table we were at shows that there was a problem with our service.

We were driving through town and decided to eat here for dinner. I ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer and a side of asparagus. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich and fries. After ordering and my shrimp was about to come out, the server decided to let me know that they were out of the sauce that comes with it. None of the other sauces sounded good so I went with her suggestion of a chili sauce and it was a horrible combination. My husband’s chicken sandwich was very fatty, he ended up cutting it into tiny pieces and pulling the fat off the sandwich.
