Great spot! This has become a good local place for me to regularly go and it has plenty of options to keep you entertained and is close to main transportation routes.

Stopped in passing through My Husband and I always enjoy going to local establishments and were very surprised to find Cheers the food was OUTSTANDING and our Bartender Bam was equally Outstanding when we come back for a Notre Dame game we will definitely make time for Cheers!!!

Came tonight as a gay couple and we're told that we weren't able to come in because of a "hunk show". I asked how long we would have to wait and was told "I don't know" by the person at the front. Incredibly disappointing. Do not attend.

Honestly it makes me sad to see low reviews of this place as it is my go to place on a chill weekend night in south bend. Cheers gives a homey dive bar feel with karaoke you can sign up to sing with friends. A lot of the regulars my friends and I see have beautiful voices and every time we go everyone there is so nice we always leave having made tons of new friends. The man who announces the karaoke (there might be two guys that work different nights) is an absolute pleasure, the bar has a perfect amount of space if you're looking to sit there, the tables are spaced to keep the atmosphere open, there are some games if you need a minute to be by yourself, there is pool to play, the security is nice and makes me and my girlfriends feel safe always, the bartenders are super friendly and know how to make virtually any obscure drink you ask for very quickly, and honestly the food is absolutely perfect drunk food (the pizza is fantastic). Anyone who doesn't like it here I'm convinced just doesn't know how to handle the scene or came in not understanding that it's more a karaoke bar than a sit down place to eat. They also sell roses late at night which is so fun on a girls night out!! Cheers forever

I suppose if you're looking for a dive bar, you're in luck. We went with the intention of eating here and very quickly called an audible. All of the tables were covered in dirty dishes, the place was filthy and there were no servers to be found. We waited 25 minutes at the bar for a bucket of beers, quickly drank those and got the hell out of there. If I could have, I would have avoided this stop altogether. Just gross.

VERY SKETCHY ......the owner responded to my review... I was not " trash talking" his staff. The young woman behind the bar was quite pleasant. My husband and son enjoyed the pizza we purchased BUT THE PLACE WAS DARK, DANK, DIRTY, THE SELECTION OF LIQUORS BEHIND THE BAR ALL HAD PAPER CONES COVERING THE POURS/OPENINGS. THE PARKING LOT LIKEWISE WAS NOT WELL LIT. IT SEEMS THE BUSINESS GOES BY 2 DIFFERENT NAMES ONLINE. IF THE SIGN OUT FRONT IS SUPPOSED TO BE LIGHTED IT'S NOT! THEREFORE I STAND BY MY REVIEW, SKETCHY!!

Spent over $25 on pizza just to throw 2/3 of it away. Smoke filled environment.
Cheers is not the old cheers of the past! The new owner (Steve) is doing a great job of changing the place! The bad element that used to be there is no more and they are slowly remodeling they pace ! The new patio is nice ! In a few months to a year this place should be fully remodeled! So check it out and give it some love!

The newer menu is really great - I'm a huge fan of "comfort food" so the chili and mac & cheese are at the top of my list, along with the fish & chips. I personally don't like hot dogs but my husband loves the Chicago and the Francheezie. The pizzas with the new cheese are fabulous too - like I said, comfort food! Of course you can order them any way you like, but if you're looking for a bit of a change, try the bbq chicken (my fav) or the buffalo. This place has done a really good job to update the interior and make sure it's deep cleaned, which I really appreciate since Covid... and it looks like they just redid the outside patio as well, although I haven't seen it in person yet. Looking forward to drinks on the patio when it gets warmer!

my personal experience was Nasty with rats. place gives you food poisoning. Also when you leave a bad review here workers like to personally contact you and harass you (Steve mihaljevic) hopefully management will change.

Update on my last review: owner doesn't take kindly to people leaving reviews that are honest to the experience I had. Decided to find my facebook and barrade me for leaving on honest review of my experience. Owner Steve and person named Kara have been harassing me for leaving this review. Will be contacting someone else to speak to about their professionalism and health hazards since they want to harass me for leaving an honest review even if they don't think I should.
