We had dinner reservations based on what was said would be on the menu for an 80th birthday request. On the day of, No Prime Rib, No King Snow Crab, and No Scott Whisky, which was promised two days before in person... I Was Very Disappointed. 3 Strikes In One Ending, "Game Over For Me"! *Note I was there 3-days before and was really looking forward to that next meal...š

EDIT: THEY CHARGED $3.31 FOR A CC PAYMENT. They charge enough for food that they charge that much for a cc pmt? Ridiculous. Luckily, our food was great. They had a big party in the other room so it took a bit but Christine was great at checking back and letting us know what was going on.

This was our 4th time at Ernie's, and sadly our last. There was one couple in the restaurant, and it took 10 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us after being seated. Cocktails were weak. Food was not prepared as described in the menu....and no management was in the facility to address our concerns. Something has definitely changed...perhaps that's why the place was empty at 7pm on a Saturday. Such unrealized potential.

They sent me coupons all the time on my phone. The latest on March 6th (today is March 19th). When I went to use one the waitress told me I was at the wrong restaurant, it says it on the coupon, that they sent on my phone. Then she said she would double check, then she said the coupon was from last year, ok sure, well the Date is also right there on my phone with no expiration date, even if it was from last year which it was not. Then she tried to give me a coupon for an appetizer that I'd didn't want. Finally I got up and left. 1st, if you are going to send me coupons every month, honor them. Secondly, let the managers lazy behind come out and explain whatever the situation is. Terrible customer service and management. I will never go back. I worked in restaurants over 20 years, this is a horrible way to treat your guests. PS there was only 1 table in there, won't be surprised when you go under.

A very nice ambience. For the price however I thought the blinds next to me at the booth would not have food splatter. The food was hot and fresh donāt get me wrong but the prices were a bit out of control. I say this as someone who happily pays and tips at top cost and doesnāt complain to the staff.On further reflection I feel that the location, horrific parking lot with Chicago prices is not a good mix. We pay Rose*us prices and say ok that was good and worth it. Perhaps itās location as the restaurants there never seemTo make it - which I feel bad about.

Read the reviews of this restaurant before you go and spend $150 or more for a full meal for (2). Service and food seems spotty for such an expensive venue. It is small and looks far better on the inside than the outside, which looks like an abandoned area. Many liked the meal and service while others were totally turned off by different things like food prep, rude owner, argumentative manager or staff. This is a good place for you if you are passive, easy to please and will take whatever is dished out to you. If you complain when you're not happy simply avoid this place, I do. 3 stars because reviews are equally mixed across Yahoo, Google, Facebook.

Came here with my wife on a date night and Christina the waitress was so nice and accommodating! The steak was AMAZING and the service was great! Iāve had steaks in downtown Chicago and want to get a similar level steak without making the driveā¦ and now I found it! We will certainly be back!!
