This was my first time stopping in, I had promised my daughter a cupcake. Ended up getting 5. They were all delicious, we had a Mandarin orange which was amazing, double chocolate with sprinkles (my daughter was licking the wrapper), a carrot, and a turtle cheesecake bar, which was decadent! They lady behind the counter was patient and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back!

Wanted to update this review because the wife wanted to place an order online but the site was not working for days. She finally went into the actual bakery only to be told they were no longer taking orders. Another stunning disappointment. You guys need to do better or you won't be around long.

I had the most delightful experience at Marilyn's Bakery! The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked treats. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my visit even more enjoyable. The pastries were absolutely divine - each one a masterpiece of flavor and texture. I was on the hunt today (my birthday) for cheesecake. I found it here along with a few other goodies. Excellent cheesecake! I haven’t tried my cinnamon roll yet but I’m sure it’s wonderful! I’ll definitely be back.

Ordered a small coffee and asked for splash of milk. Then charged me for extra dollar. The cashier didn't even tell that's an extra charge. Will never come back- coffee tasted nasty anyway.

After our family came to visit this summer, they wanted to take back pies, corn, and other foods from Indiana. We googled Marilyn's Bakery and it did not disappoint! We bought enough pies to have after dinner, and we also bought enough pies for them to take back to Texas with them. Thank you, Marilyn's Bakery, for the delicious souvenir!

Stopped in to grab some lunch to take home. The gentleman who helped me was very friendly. I ordered a turkey sandwich on pretzel roll and roast beef panini. The box lunches are great value (IMHO). $15 for sandwich/side/dessert/basic beverage. I chose to upgrade to the beef vegetable soup and was glad I did. I ordered extra pastries as well. My granddaughter smashed the shortbread cookies. We loved the baked goods and will definitely be back for more. The downside - I was hoping to have the chicken salad croissant but they had a problem with croissants that day and only had premade chicken salad croissant sandwiches. I chose to skip that option. So I ordered the roast beef panini. When I arrived home we discovered that both sandwiches were made with roast beef (not the turkey pretzel sandwich that I ordered). The other head scratcher was that the picture on Yelp looks very country kitsch and inviting. The St John location ambience could be summed up as very sparsely decorated and had no customers dining at 12:30. If we had actually dined in it would have been a bit awkward. We will plan on giving them another try but our first experience was a bit lukewarm.
Delicious decadent cakes. We had a chocolate cake for a birthday (don't remember the name but not the German chocolate). Can't wait to try the carrot cake next time. 10/10

Amazing pastries. It's strawberry season and today I bought a strawberry rubarb pie and strawberry bread. Can't wait to dig in. I have never been disappointed with pastries I've purchased from Marilyn's. I'm a regular there. ?
