Used to be great when it was 9585. Sat night and the place is dead. Almost an hour to get appetizers. Don’t see it staying around much longer if this kind of service continues.

There's a younger gentleman that works here All he does is complain more than all the women there that's all I can say. All he does is talk about his life talk about himself He's very loud ignorant couldn't enjoy my drink or my food even when he was in the next room he was so loud he wants everybody to hear him and be center of attention. This is my third temp there and I'll never go back because of this guy.

Food was extremely slow coming out! When it did come out it was cold. They forgot to put in my daughter's order. They did not ask if we needed any refills. The service was bare minimum. And the manager on staff decided to have extreme attitude when we said we needed to leave and wanted my daughters meal, to go at this

(edit: this review no longer applies, and was meant for 9five8five. St John malt brothers sucks, the beer and food are not good)This is the only place worth spending your money at in St. John. The environment is warm and cozy, Their menu is full of great food, but their weekly specials are where they shine. Every dish is made with love and care. Cumbers are great. Beer selection is great and ever changing, top shelf whiskeys are available.

This is a different experience than your everyday brew pub. For starters, it's definitely off the beaten path. It's located in a quiet little neighborhood business park. It's quite unique. Like finding the perverbial diamond in the rough. Their brewery is located directly across the street from the restaurant & pub, so the wide variety of beer offerings is as fresh as it gets. Everyone can find a style of beer they like, and sampling the goods is half the fun. If beer isn't your thing, they offer a full bar, and the attentive staff can mix up any type of cocktail you like. Last but not least, they have a fairly extensive food menu. The wait staff always deliver it hot, and I've never once been disappointed. It's truly an all-around great place for the freshest beer, excellent food, and a fun time. Enjoy sitting in the outdoor area on a nice day or cheering for your favorite team inside, watching one of their many large screens. There's no bad seat. Either way, I guarantee you'll be glad you found this place!!

A very very slow service restaurant. Took 35-40 for 2 burgers and the everything but the the bun burger. The meat was cold on the everything burger. Questioned the server and she said ya that's how it comes cold. This was not stated on the menu. Cute place but they need to work on their execution.

Food was extremely slow on an empty dining room. The service was almost non-existent then when the food came out my wife's southwest chicken wrap was tough, re-heated, obviously day old chicken. I like to try new places but we will not be returning based on this

Limited beers today. Only 8 to choose from. My server, Lauren, was great, she was on the ball from the moment I sat down. I'm only here because it's the closest craft place to where I'm at. I miss the old 95ate5 vibe.11-6-22 @ 8pm we were all in the tapeoom, place was dead. Group of 3 were wrapping up. The Tinder couple were deep in conversation. I wanted one and stayed for two.1-7-23They need to bring in a couple heavy stouts like 11 to 13 percent.4-30-23, ordered a beer, finished it and had no reason to order another one.
Arrived at 6:05 for dinner. 2 adults and 4 kids. Took till 6:30 for someone to take our drink order. We placed a drink order and food order at the same time. Didn’t get the food till 7:50. Over an hour to get 2 wraps, mac and cheese and chicken fingers. The food was terrible. The server was on her phone non stop. And didn’t apologize once. What happened to this place?

Beer is good. Service sucks. Took forever to get food. Servers and bartenders do their best to avoid interacting with you.

I live close by and would love for this place to not be terrible. Every time I come here the service is horrible. Bartenders who don't want to work and will let you sit there with no drink and just talk to each other and ignore you. Most recently, there were two of us. We sat at the bar for probably 10 minutes and had several staff walk right past us without saying a work. We ended up walking out and they just watched us walk out. Baffles me how this place is still in business. It's a shame cause it's a great location and they have good beer.

Do I feel bad I recommended Malt Brother for a family dinnerThree of us order the Tommy Bomb after reading the description on the menu (c below) we did not receive the sandwich as described: onion straws NOT one straw maybe. Burger stuffed with cheese and jalapeños NOT burger was stuffed with nothing. Jack cheese on top YES, two pieces of cheese were on top still cool. Come on cld u of at least melted the cheese.Only up side was deer and friendly wait staff. But to sure I'll be back.Tommy BombThis bomb has some "Good Kick" Pepper jack cheese, onion straws, Tommy sauce, topped off with fresh jalapeño on a toasted brioche bun. Oh did we mention the patty is stuffed with cheese and jalapeños

Great beer (I'm biased - have been a fan of their beer since they were on Wicker) and a nice relaxed, local atmosphere. Food is very good. Our waitress Maddie was excellent - friendly and attentive to our table of 6. Highly
