It was a Friday night and they were busy. The two waitresses were working hard. It took awhile to be noticed, and longer to get served. I got my food right at an hour after I walked in. The fish in the fish dinner was really good, but didn't come with tartar sauce. I don't mind using ketchup, but I wondered if they would have had tartar sauce if I had asked. The slaw was great. The fries were decent, but a little dark. The hush puppies I ordered didn't come with the meal, but I also wasn't charged for them. And I didn't want to risk the wait by asking for them. It's a nice little hometown bar, and I'll be back. I'm betting it will be better then.
We tried Hardy's because our hotel manager recommended it and we were looking for some local fare while traveling. The service was slow and the burger was barely warm and it was dry and tasteless. The restaurant was dark. Actually, even though I don't generally like chain restaurants, I think Denny's would of been better.
4 dollar for a beer is not ok ! Pabst Blue Ribbon is good beer but not that good ?
Burgers and pulled pork were a big hit. We also had a very good waitress. Tater Tots we're perfect and the chili was very tasty.
Nice waitress, slow service especially with only people at 2 tables. Tenderloin sandwich was not cooked enough especially the batter. Pizza was generic tasting. Won't be back.
Terrible and slow service. They were short-handed but things were not communicated well. It took 30 minutes just to get a drink. And over an hour to get the food. The place was not very busy at all.
It was wonderful! The bartender/ waitress was so great! Fried tenderloin sandwich was outstanding!
Little loud but service was good and food was very good tenderloin was awesome
Great local dining experience. Large group of 10 received great service and everyone agreed the food was excellent. Cole Slaw had a special tang. Cod sandwich was cooked just right and the tenderloin crowd was satisfied with a nice well prepared Hoosier speciality. Come to enjoy a great meal with a hometown taste.
Good grub!!! Ordered off the menu the first night there. We were to late to get food off the menu the next night, but they made us a couple pizzas that were some of the best we ever ate!! Awesome!!! And with a race team, we eat all over the country!!!

We love it. We eat here every time we are in Scottsburg for games.
Hardy's has been around our area for many years, and has had updates to the dining area and menu that have made it a family dining destination. They have great pizza and burgers with a small selection of beer on tap, mixed drinks and bottled beer. The bar area has a pool table and small stage for live music, they're also starting Karaoke again, Sept 2021. It's on the square in Scottsburg Indiana.
This isn't a diner or cafe, it's a bar with extra seating. My experience wasn't bad but certainly could have been better. I got a burger that seemed overcooked, maybe the beef didn't have enough fat or filler, not sure. My friend got a pizza which would have been decent, but the sauce wasn't cooked enough and had much too much garlic. No problem with the waiting staff, but by the state of the dining area and what's coming out of the the kitchen it seems that somebody higher up isn't taking things quite serious enough.
1st time there and was real good. Cole slaw is best i had in awhile
A very hospitable bar/restaurant that was enjoyable to visit. Brought back old memories for a friend of mine.
