We could not order off the menu. Only serving buffet only. Very disappointing on the food selection. No green vegetables. Food was cold and tasteless. Would not return, service was very poor.

Great service! Great food! I can see why it’s ranked the second only to the Blue Gate. It’s food is as good as the Blue Gate, but a couple of bucks cheaper. My wife and I each had the pork chops and they were terrific. A very laid back atmosphere.

Being a person who works at one of the Shiops in town I'm often asked What is a good place to eat. I used to say "I've never had a bad meal in Shipshewana." I can no longer. I went yto 5&20 on saturday.I was very hungrey or i wouldn't have even eaten some of it. the salad as ok.then it was 18.50 each. You got to be freaking kidding me. however this is the first time i've not been satified there.

We had the salad bar which had 2 types of soup, beef and chicken noodle. We opted for the beef, yummy! They also had coffee cake that was so moist and delicious! I ordered a side of onion rings that were tasty and not greasy! It was a great place and I would go back again.

It was my first vist to the Country Kitchen and everything was just fantastic - the food, atmosphere and of course Jani and his staff. Thank you for this experience. You just cant find anything better! Highly recommend this place!

Discovered this place when someone in the area recommended it. Had to wait a little bit the first night. Second night got in quicker. Service was good. We preferred this place over another popular restaurant in the area.

We got right in and the service was quick to come and wait on us kept coming back to see if we needed anything even though they were short of help. The Food was so good we had lunch .

The “salad bar” was almost empty and food spilled all over it. It was repulsive. The “grilled cheese” sandwich was 2 slices of white bread with a small puddle of yellow almost liquid in the center…no cheese anywhere else on the bread…$6.00. We felt bad for the apologetic Amish woman who looked as if she wanted to be anywhere but there. She was embarrassed with it all. Frankly, I would never go back. Almost every food place closes at 4:00 in Shipshewana except this place, a Mexican place and the Blue Gate restaurant which is the same buffet every day and the same breakfast every day. Both are fairly good.
When there was nobody else to take us in for early morning breakfast, because of the long lines and lists 5/20 was right there. I mean we started at Essenhaus and went right down the line to try to find someplace to eat. All were too busy! Enjoyed the meal and I enjoyed the gymnastics (Youth at its best) team taken care of us. Was good breakfast.

I enjoy the 5& 20 country restaurant because the food is good and I have never had anything I did not like, even the ice cream is so-o good. My friends and I go there almost every time we get to shipsee! Good variety, or the buffett is very good also. Their bake goods that they sell are yummy too. Whoopie pies, oatmeal cookies, for sale plus a lot of ice cream flavors that you may have never heard of. I wouldn't miss a chance to stop, rest and indulge in the variety.

Enjoyed the food and the comfortable atmosphere here. Plain, tasty meals, good service, little-to-no wait time when we went for lunch. Not a late night spot - closes at 8, along with many other venues in this area. Definitely recommend dining here. Nice place.

We were in Shipshewana last week (Monday & Tuesday) for our monthly visit. When in town we always eat at 5 & 20 at least once. On this trip they were not open on Monday or Tuesday. We were very disappointed. Hours need to be updated.
